Ellen,

Hope the following information may be helpful,,,Jerry

http://premierrvresorts.com/eugene.htm

Premier – Very nice – most expensive ($30+) – our first camping experience with the Casita – north of Eugene.

http://www.deerwoodrvpark.com/

Deerwood – Very nice, also – second most expensive (about $30) – stayed there last year during state basketball playoffs – south of Eugene.

http://www.shamrockvillagervpark.com/

Shamrock – Not sure how nice – third most expensive ( about $25) – convenient to UofO - This is a combination rv/trailer park. Ask about train noise before making reservation – south side of Eugene.

Richardson Park – Looks nice in web photo – least expensive (about $20) – Lane County park - north side of Eugene.

Jerry-
Thanks so much for the links. I am going to check out the last link you gave later today. Berry has always wanted to camp on the McKenzie River. We like to stay in the little campgrounds with out all the RV fancy stuff. We are not sure what we are doing, it mostly depends on our friend in Springfield. She has not been in good health and might have to move due to limited income and she just lost her husband. Since we are going to be in her area we want to make sure we have a few days with her also. We may just end up checking into Waterloo a couple of days early and travel back to Springfield to visit. We are kicking around a bunch of ideas right now but won't know exact plans until we get closer to travel time. But at this time we are planning on checking into Waterloo some time on Thursday.
Berry has been working hard on the trailer floor so we are ready to go in time. It seems like he fixes one thing and finds something else that needs to be addressed. I am sure everyone has a story like that. Anyway thanks again and we will see you in April.

Donna:

I'll be arriving on the 27th and leaving on the 29th (maybe, maybe not).

It'll be in site 52A, no hookup. No wife, no dog, just a donkey.

I'm beginning to think Donna sneaks into my house and checks my work calendar in order to pick weekends I'm working.

See you at Bandon!

A friend found out that the pink flamingo factory closed and got some pairs of pink flamigos. We will be bringing a pair to guard our trailer at the NOG gathering. If anyone else has always wanted a set, let us know. We can bring a set or two for others. I think they are about $50 for a pair and a pair is one with the neck up and one with the neck down plus the sticks that go in the ground to hold them up. Without the stick they are about 24 inches tall so with the stick they are a little taller. They have the Don Featherstone signature in the plastic and a date of 1989 I think so they are some of the last inventory, straight from the factory.

They look like this and the pairs we have are both up looking and down feeding just like the link picture shows.

Okay, I have some questions.

1. How is the fire pit deal coming?

2. Does a name badge have to be on the shirt or can it be on a hat or shoes?

3. If I wanted to get an easy up, any suggestions as to where to get it?

4. Is it time yet? I am so ready.

1. Haven't done anything about the fire pit...guess I'd better get on that!

2. Name tag can be placed anywhere on your body. I'm bringing a staple gun, forehead might work?

3. E-Z-Up (which ain't) are available just about anyplace. G.I. Joes, Bi-Mart, Freddy's, etc. Check the sales ads tho...prices vary (and colors!). Actually Quik-Shade (brand name) is the same thing...and comes in a wider variety of colors...if you're interested.

4. I'm READY TOO

Fred Meyer has the Quik Shade on sale this week through Saturday, March 24th, for $69.99 in the 10' x 10' size which makes the canopy 8' x 8'. It comes in a wheeled bag and weighs about 35 lbs. I am a wimp and I can lift it!

Yes, but we Oregonians know that sometimes our sunshine is in liquid form!
