It’s TIME…to make reservations for the Spring NOG at Waterloo Park…April 27-29! (Just east of Lebanon!)

You’ll need to call 541-967-3917 (9am-4pm PT), to make your reservation (tell them you’re with the “Egg People”) ...this park is NOT available for online reservations. It costs $11 to MAKE the reservation and that cost is not included in the daily fee. But this campout is before the busy season so the fee is $16 a night (electric/water only...a dump station is available).

I would imagine we will start filling sites along the northside in Loop A, just as before (sites 30A-54A) because of extra privacy. Although just about the entire park has good/level sites. Click here to download either a GIF or PDF: Waterloo Map.

When you make reservations, post in this topic the site you have taken and other pertinent information. I’ll keep the list updated in this first posting and create the colored map showing spots that have already been chosen. I’ll certainly try to update it daily or as information comes in.

And yes, you can camp in Loop B if you wish, but the park will NOT take reservations for that loop, sorry...I couldn't get them to change their mind.

Woohoo come on Spring!

Hi Y'All...

Hope you have recovered from all the events of the holidays. I booked two sites yesterday, 35A and 37A. I have invited two gal pals to join me. Karen has a 14-15 foot old Shasta trailer that she had a custom tye dye paint job done on the outside. I know it isn't a glass trailer, but it is SO DAMN ADORABLE, I'm sure you all won't mind. We may come just the girls, or we may bring 4 kids. My two and one other gals two. Depends on how the stars line up close to April. Of course my first choice would be to come with the gals only. It would just be a wee bit more relaxing. We spent many long grueling hours developing the "perfect" pomagranate martini over the holidays . Of course we would bring some to share . I am now on the lookout for some nice sturdy plastic martini glasses for the trailer. Anyway, I guess I'll be your neighbor for a couple of days Donna! Take care all and I sure hope life allows me to see you all in Oregon this Spring!

Sharon

Finally heard back from them. She said they have been so busy you wouldn't believe. But the good news is that we made our reservation for space A46 for Thursday the 26 and will leave Monday the 30th.

And for those 62 and older at the time of the camp-out it is only $12 a night if you tell Linn Co. at the time you register.

Thanks Linda for posting the cost savings for those that qualify

Keith and Dee, I think roasting weenies and smores sounds great for Friday night. I like the idea of relaxing that first night too. Anyone else care to join in? All that's required in whatever you care to eat, oh and a lawn chair!

Ron will be in 33A again and Pat and I will be in 34A again.

Remember ... The spring Salmon will be running while we are there...They should be hitting on ROE. The local store should have all the gear and info needed to get us a few big ones.

Lily and I will be there. We arrive April 24 and will be out on the 30th.

We'll be in site 48A looking out onto the big grassy area plus a shorter walk to the beach area at the boat launch as well as the dog walk area. Also looking the other way from the berry bushes where the cats reside. Hopefully, Lily will chill more this time rather than doing her sentry duty, which became annoying because she'd sit there whine looking longingly for the cats.

We also got a call today after having no luck for a couple of days. Dennis and I will be in 50A again with our yellow lab, Luna. Friday night hot dog roast and s'mores sounds like fun.

We also tried our first pomegranate martinis this holiday. I thought that they were tasty.

We are looking forward to seeing you all again.

Well gang, Charlene booked us for the same site we had in October, and we are looking forward to this even. I'm going to bring some bananas, chocolate chips and peanut butter to go with the roasted weenies and smores. I don't think that they go with the pomagranate martinies.

We're in site A-43 and since Jacquie can't type right now (due to an operation on her hand), I'll post that Jacquie and Bill are in site A-40.

Just got off the phone with Millie at the park reservations desk....there's a land grab going on! Someone snagged my site right out from under me....so I'm in 32A. I'll fix the listing and the park map tonight.

Millie said she's contacted 13 Egg People so far.

Did she have any idea if it was an egg person or just someone looking to camp in the middle of a great group?

Sorry Donna Nancy grabbed 43 so we grabbed 39 - not really - Dave called from work yesterday and we hadn't read this thread - took most of the day to hear back from them - anyway they said 43 was taken and suggested 39 so he went for it, guess we're all kind of rotating around the circle - oh well should be fun - as I recall, all the sites are pretty nice! Hope the weather's good!

It's perfectly okay, [b]honest I owe you guys anyway And yes, the sites are all good. We spend most of the time around the big campfire anyway. It's not like the Oregon Gathering when we'd need to walk from C Loop to A Loop a bazillion times!

and yes, is expected

Anyone heard from Taylor and Linda lately??? In October they were in site 51 and brought their firebox and MOST of the wood. Maybe we should consider leaving it open for them for a while?? If someone else gets that site...be prepared for the group gathering...it's got a large area right behind the site.

Wood, oh my gosh, everyone bring some wood! I bought a bundle from the park folks. Cost $4 for 4 skinny sticks...my wrist was bigger! Probably lasted all of about 10 minutes.
