Oct. 14-16, 2011: Brown County State Park. Indiana

There will be a small informal get together in Brown County State Park, Oct 14-16. The park is near Nashville, Indiana. There are a lot of things to do nearby, shopping, wineries, and beautiful scenery. I have reserved site 358 in Taylor Ridge Electric. Hope some of my fellow FGRV friends can join me. Book your site soon as the park fills up real fast in October.

There are still a few sites left near our group. Act fast..........for anyone who's never been there it is a lovely campground with a lot of things to do in the area. Also, I will be making a pot of some kind of soup on Saturday evening if we want to do a pitch in. Probably chili, but I could change my mind before then.

My goodness,

Taylor Ridge is full. Every campground in the park is full except for primitive horse camp.

This must be a lovely park. Hope you all have a good time.

As Karen said: it fills up fact in Oct. With the leaf peepers and people shopping in Nashville, traffic gets pretty intense . luckily there is no IU game that weekend or it would be brutal at times.

By the way I am contemplating making fried biscuits with home made apple butter for the get together. ( it's a Brown county Thing)

Autumn is going with macaroni salad. I hate tuna, so it's her chance to make a batch and share.

Sorry to cancel, but Autumn's feeling pretty punkish and I pulled by back splitting wood. Normally we might give it a go, but as some of you know Autumn spent most of last winter in hospital, eh. We also are following through on an item on our bucket list and scheduled to leave for Rome, Florence, Venice, and Naples on the 21st. If anyone was shut out of the campground or has a distant site. Please grab ours. We'll look forward to catching up in the Spring.

We will miss you. Have a great time on your bucket list trip. Hope we will see you in the spring. The fish fry will be at Spring Mill next year.
