So maybe, now that I no longer have the Bigfoot (it went to a VERY nice Seattle area couple) I guess I now have an "orphan brand". It's a 2001 VW Eurovan Camper!! And yes, it has a FIBERGLASS top that pops up!! I just might cruise in to see if you have a spot for me...

...ORPHAN'. Reserve that spot right now, as we'd love to see you. You are part of the group! Sharen & Simon will also be there, in the new Roadtrek f theirs'...what FUN we'll have.
After all, US Democrats (Stephen and I) are not an exclusive society...had to get at least one political JAB in there, right Buddy?!
See you in October,

Jewelry MAKING CLASS in Champoeg, anyone?!!!

Sharen and I have discussed bringing some Beads 'n Baubles and stringing something WUNDERBAR!
Our 'FW' (AKA: more commonly know as Deb Stillman) makes incredible silver and stone wrapping jewelry...not sure that her SHOULDER is that far healed for her to wrap anything, but she just might be willing to give us a bit of guidance in how to make it and what to buy and bring along. We'd have to go to a bead/stone shop and pick up the stuff for ourselves, BUT it would be so much fun to sit at a picnic table and YACK (AKA: the Blah-Blah Sisters) while we construct the beauteous baubles.

I'm not very knowledgable myself, but what the HECK, let's WADE in THERE and 'Just do IT'!!!

Maybe Jacquie Gormely will also be there and available, with her wealth of guidance (I forgot to check the sign up sheet before posting this).

Can't wait for a CRISP and SUNNY fall weekend in Champoeg and to see all my little buddies, once again.

IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION IN A LOOP... and need to cancel.... PLEASE, let me know before you cancel your reservation. I've been contacted by e-mail that someone would like to join us. I'd like to share that info with that individual, rather than have a stickie show up amongst us.

Okay?

Jim, the main info is on the CasitaForum because I can edit the top post with the map and participant's list. The topic is five pages long there: Northern Oregon Gathering - Fall Event - Casita Travel Trailer Forum

I'm keeping an eye on the topic in both places. What do you want to talk about

Camping of course.

I don't really visit the other site. I just thought people would be getting excited and chatting. I'll check over there.

Did ANYONE respond to my JEWELRY MAKING idea!!!?

My laptop is down for the count, so I haven't been cruising our site as much as I'd like to...although I briefly looked at the postings on Casita forum...
BUT didn't see whether anyone else has any interest in a FALL NOG jewelry making get-together. I'm a learner and not a teacher...so we'd be sharing ideas and techniques.
Feel free to add your post here or send me a PM.
See you soon, jewelry making get-together or NOT!!!

Jim,
I'm not sure what to bring with us...other than jewelry thread, needle, clasps for closing and various beads or buttons for stringing. I will stop at a bead shop to see if there's more info for us.
I'm still hoping that Deb S, Sharen H and others will share their knowledge with us! I think I'll send them a PM to see if that is realistic thinking on my part.
Can you ask your girls if they have done it before and what they might be able to show us?
Thanks! It will all work out, as it usually does!

We're planning on heading up on Saturday for the day. We don't have a trailer (yet) so won't be camping. But I am interested in seeing the variety of makes and models.

I hope we won't come across as too nosy, but I would love to see the trailers folks have if it's not too much of an imposition (we're particularly interested in the Escapes).

We've not been to Champoeg either, so we're looking forward to our tour of discovery...

Hi Joe, of course you're welcome for the day. And no one will consider you nosy. Folks love to show off their trailers and talk "eggs."

See and meet you soon

Sharen & Simon and the pups checkin' in here. Sold our Roadtrek today. Keeping the Casita for now. Also have a Chevy "Falcon," a small 19ft motorhome. Might bring that. Not sure. Our Casita was turned into a "gypsy wagon" this past weekend for the 11th Annual Djangofest Northwest festival here in Langley. Lots of Djangophiles... musicians crawling the streets. Fun.

Will check the Casita page also. Where are we going for the Spring NOG? I guess I better sign up, eh?!

And yes, I'll bring some jewelry making stuff. Also, a BOOK EXCHANGE? Read any good ones lately?

Look forward to seeing you all again soon. It's been too long!
