Oklahoma anyone?

Would anyone be interested in an Oklahoma gathering in spring or fall of 2007, the cooler months. I was thinking of Greenleaf state park, or somewhere around Lake Tenkiller or Lake Eufaula.

Perhaps a Route 66 campground around Clinton or Elk City?

Any thoughts or ideas??

My family is a glutton for punishment. We are holding our Biennual Reunion in June, the weekend of 15-17 at Lake Murray Resort.

Since I was not planning to book a room at the Lodge, I inquired about the several campgrounds within the park and found out that they do not take reservations. The lady on the phone counciled me to arrive early to ensure that I had my spot in time for the reunion.

I was thinking of arriving sometime during the previous week, or weekend, and staying put through the end of the reunion. Would you be interested in something impormptu during the earlier time? I have not firmed up my plans, yet.

I'm thinking of Foss Lake State Park, where the deer and the buffalo play. They actually have a herd of buffalo you can view. The park has 120 campsites, picnic pavillion, showers, boat rental, fishing, lake swimming, hiking trails, marina and an eatery!
