Ontario Bolerama July 12-14 2013
Fred posted this on bolerama back in mid October. Not sure why it didn't make the forums here, it did make the 2013 map though. Same place as last year, Longbeach Conservation Area. Details at Fred's page.

Bolerama July 13/13
Hi
Well I will go to the Bolerama on July 13 weekend to see all the eggs camping out in Southern Ontario. I hope is where I get some answers. I will see much more eggs than at the RV show I was at, seen only one egg. I will see the differences between a 13 and 16 footer. Trillium rep. will be there and maybe others.
Nevertheless this website is a wealth of knowledge. There is no substitute for seeing eggs in person, especially if you are newbie. Anyone else going to be there?

We will be there
Hello, and happy spring to all. Setting up the trips for summer and would not miss this one. Hope to see everyone again and all the trailers. Eggs-Car-Go has new tires and is greased up and after a few small modes will be ready to roll.

Reservations & Details
With Fred's permission I posted this meet into the Calendar.
Whether group camping or choosing a serviced site drop Fred an email letting him know how many are coming so he can plan for space and the BBQ dinner Saturday night. Although fees are not posted yet - Fred or Donna usually collect $5-10 per person for the BBQ and pavillion rental etc. The campground usually cuts the group a deal on their usual fees.
Long Beach Fees - Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority
The campground typically blocks off a group of sites and marks them in their reservation system as "Not available (period passed or not viewable)". You will have to get into the camp site specifics to see what is potentially available. If the site is marked in grey on the calendar it may be available for the group or taken up by someone in the group already. The campground makes these reservations manually over the phone. There are 2 campgrounds for the serviced sites. The Lakeside Campground which is closest to the group and the North Campground which is across the street but still a short walk to the group.
To see what might be availble go here: NPCA Reservation Service?
Select Long Beach as the park and then one of the campgrounds. Enter your equipment and the dates. The campground typically blocks off from the north end of the lakeside campground (the circle for sites 71-93) moving towards the lake.
Many arrive sooner and stay later. I'm not sure how much sooner or later you can camp in the group site. I think it's a day either way. Can someone can post what they know from experience?

Just bought our 1973 egg last week. Hope to 'walk-into' the Bollerama with a camera to learn more tips for our restoration. Hope to have the unit ready for camping later this fall.

Bring your boler Dave, you might want to keep going back to it to see if your boler is the same as what you are looking at in others. Not all bolers are the same. You will miss out on the opportunity to have others see what you might be talking about. Like Donna D. says, consider it a hard tent on wheels. My first bolerama was with duck tape patching the hole in the roof frantically trying to get her ready for a trip out east.

Do we need to register with the park if we are in the group site or only if we are getting a serviced site? I emailed Fred but not talked to the campground. Be there Fri morning.

Hi: Don N...Sorry I can't answer other than I don't think you need to register with the park...just Fred. We always get a site with a "Current Bush" close by.

You register with the park on entry to pay the park fees, tell them you are camping with the boler group. Then you register with Fred to pay for the BBQ and get entered into the draws.

'Lilypad' isn't quite road worthy yet. We'll be seeking park permission and then register with Fred; but, just walking through with a camera.

Dave,
The park will charge you the day fee as if you were coming for a picnic. Do let them know you are coming to look at the bolers though. Don't forget a notepad to jot things, people and places down on.

I believe that there were about 95 trailers there last hear and many were Bolers of all different vintages. Some have been extensively redone and you should get lots of pictures.
We're makin a list and pakin it up. Hope to see everyone real soon.
