I sent an email to everyone on the above list. If you didn't get it, let me know. Also, if you aren't on this list and you would like to be, just let us know.

Our plan is to survey those who have signed up and to create a class schedule that gives everyone an opportunity to learn how to deal with different types of DOs and different recipes. If it all comes together as planned, the food cooking will all be done about the same time. This will give time for the class participants to savor their creations and whatever is left can be taken to the Potluck to be shared with the rest of the Gathering.

We're looking forward to seeing you all and having a great time cooking.

I don't have a Dutch Oven. Can I sign up as a taste tester? I mean...there's got to be SOME quality control, right?

- Miriam
The best way to be a taste tester is to get in and be one of the participants. I've seen some posts about DO's available for borrowing. What do you think? Are you game?

Lori,

Jamie Hubbs has agreed to let us borrow one of his "DO's." I think we are now set to go.

Also, Bon and I will arrive at Bullards on Monday (7/10 - site A54) so if you folks need some assistance getting set-up, we will be glad to help. See you in Bandon...Jerry

Lori and Mike,

You are about to get me in trouble. The Jerry Anderson listed on the roster should be Bonnie and Jerry Anderson. Thank you, thank you for making this adjustment...Jerry

Mike & Lori-

I spoke to Judy Webb today and she wanted to know if it is okay if she just watches how you do things? She does not want to cook anything, just watch. I on the other hand would like a list and an email from you, please. I am not sure I will sign up but I would like to see what I would need to bring. At this point I am bringing so much already and plan to/need to pack for another week or more worth of travel after the rally. I am not sure I can fit much more in our little Burro but I would like to look over the list and consider it.
Thanks,

Ellen B.

Lori has a very complicated Plan and Schedule that she works from. Everyone will be doing something different based on the emails she is having with each person. It is amazing how she can take beginners all the way to more experianced cooks and offer something challenging & fun for each to cook. The truely amazing thing to me is they all come out, finished, at the same time and with no problems.

We look forward to having you visit as well.

[b]Dutch Oven Workshop

Lori & I have volunteered to put on another Dutch Oven Workshop this year.

Last summer we went to the National Chuck Wagon Cook Off in Ruidoso, New Mexico sponsored by the Hubbard Museum & the Smithsonian Institute.

We had so much fun and the food was great. We have many new ideas. Would you like to help us put it on?
Hi

I would like to attend the the dutch oven workshop. The only dutch oven i have is a really large one that is a kitchen style. I do have a rack i have used before over a camp fire. I can bring that or if someone has an extra one i can borrow that would be nice. My email is: lindamillikin[a]comcast.net.

I've added Jay and Linda to the confirmed class participants and corrected my spelling of Dave and Kathie..

We now have 15 dutch ovens on the schedule. Boy, this is going to be fun.

Bring all your ingredients, some Kingsford charcoal (I'll tell you at the class why I'm so specific), and, of course, your dutch ovens (and charcoal starters, tongs, lid lifters, and lid stands, if you have them). Some bowls, cutting boards, knives, and cooking utensils will help.

We have work tables and shade.

We'll be in B22 and are arriving Friday, mid day. We're looking forward to seeing you all. Stop by and say hello before the class.

Mike - sorry about the lateness of my reply...I did send you an email reply, also. I am just getting back to civilization and my own computer. Please do keep me in the 'confirmed' DO cookers, and let me know what ingredients to bring. Looking forward to learning more about this cooking technique(and tasting the results!)
