This looks like a lot of fun! We plan to come, but want to arrive early and stay late so we can explore the island. If we camp at the Jamboree we would need to arrive on Thursday, the 3rd and leave on Monday, the 7th. We would prefer to stay longer than that, but would also want to be camping with all the other "eggs". What's everybody else planning to do? We want to make reservations but would like to get some direction here!

Also, I notice that there are pet restrictions at the National Park Campgrounds. Because we travel with our Kampin' Kats (who never are out loose) would they be allowed?

Hi Ann great to hear from you..No problem landing Thurs, and leaving Monday. Reservations are not a must, this is a Festival camp ground, and have lots of room. We will be keeping the Fibers in a reserved area..If you have non fiber friends with you we will see they are close to you ,like right behind you..Just tell everyone to get their butts in gear and get up here for good music and a country that is a must to see. Look forward to meeting you all Karl..Oh The Pets.. no problem, like any place we rquest that animals be kept under control by their masters. Common sence thats all. But bring them along for sure..

Hi Martin .Great to hear from you..Sorry to take so long to get back...Like the Cadet,We had one couple of years ago ..Go to the Albums on this site. Ours has the candy stripe canopy..One Proude Canadian..It went to Prescott Ont. We do have washrooms, couple of showers .They serve for a much larger festival then ours,.Also it is in the works to build more but won,t be done for this year..But the answer (yes)..This is starting to look like a good turn out,and as I keep telling folks ..your time is your own to meet and greet, visit the area, listen to the music etc .Your time is your time so come and enjoy.....Karl

Been there; very nice place with lot of great people. (we were the Boler with Quebec plates)

we had the best lobster dinner in a long time and we also picked up some home made cookies at the bakery that was right next to the camping.

Thank you Karl ! we will do our best to be there next year

Hey Karl and fellow "glassers"...WHAT a GREAT MEET! Thanks , Karl for all the organizing and famous PEI hospitality...and also for letting me sit in and play in two of the best all-time jam sessions ever! My fingers are still callussed. :>)
Thirty FG eggs in a field, great jamboree music, the most beautiful island anywhere, the most hospitable folks you could hope to meet, and LOBSTER! Oh my son did we eat lobster! Also got to see a 650 lb tuna brought in on the north shore.
We're back home tonite after 3800 kms and a lovely campsite on the river in Bethel Maine (camped beside two PE Islanders, no less) and looking forward to another visit.
Folks, if you only do one rally a year, include Karl's PEI 'Glass with Class.
TTFN...Alistair
