Here are the final Coordinates for the Quartzsite gathering at Dome Rock.

N 33 deg 38.606
W 114 deg 18.171

Or at Dome Rock exit go south of I-10 and then proceed east on the frontage road for 1 1/2 mile.

Drive careful and we will see you all there!

I found it!

It's quite the turn out, and a lovely area, not in the thick of the Quartzite "Sea of RVS".

Kind cool!

Have fun! We couldn't make it this year, maybe next year.

Dave and Leslie gave me the grand tour of Quartzsite today and fed me $1 hang-a-burgers. Yum! Thank you guys for the tour, you took me to where I wouldn't have gone on my own or been able to figure out on my own. There is a lot more to the BLM areas than what you think there is just looking at the seemingly hap hazad sea of RV from the Freeway.

Saw the Oliver trailer... eh.. it's not to my personal liking but it does have a nice fit and finish and lots of gadgets to play with.

Storage space for "stuff" seems to be lacking, but the bathroom is nice and I liked the leveling jacks and the "Chrome" interior highlights.

They even had a couple colored ones.. an all red one and a black one. They were different to look at from the bright white glass we are used to, and I got to see what it would look like if I did this one in Red (It isn't going to happen)

Hey Gina! You might as well stay out in the desert! It's dumping snow up here again. Bet your parking spot is gone again. Just got the electricity back yet again

Yeah, I have been closely monitoring Rim.

I WAS actually headed to Yuccaipa Regional, but the winds out here are not towing safe, s I pulled off in Blythe and am staying put until morning.

I barely got a chance to visit with Gene from the Casita Forum. It was a pleasant suprise to see him there. There were many folks I haven't met yet and it was great to see everyone.

Chris made us ALL pancakes this morning and delivered them to our trailers, complete with dining ware. Thank you! The smores were outstanding too!

Gregs family is very nice and I am sorry Wilson was being "Cat" like and not playing with the kids!

Thanks to everyone for putting this on! I will definitely come back to enjoy the view and sunsets.

Oh, and I finally got my shower.. I am sure you are all relieved :-P

Looking at my mountain on my way in from the east today was certainly very pretty... BUT, I still can't get up there!

I am in Lytle Creek, where it is snowing a tad too.. but not anything earthshaking.

Gina, Eric and I noticed how beautiful the mountains looked today. Prettier and clearer than either one of us remember seeing them.

That reminds me, I have been meaning to ask you...... Last summer I went with a friend to one of the campgrounds in Lytle Creek and ground up a bunch of stumps with a stump grinding machine. Which campground do you go to?
Bob
BTW It stopped snowing today and it looks like you all had a great time at Dome Rock!

The 2008 version of the Quartzsite Gathering is over and turned out very well. Betty and I would like to thank everyone who attended and hope the ones that didn't will be there next year.

George & Betty

Gina: Thank you for being there, it was very nice meeting you and we will see you down the road.
