That's the address from Gene the webmaster on the Casita Forum. Oh well. It's still cool to see the Casita there.

Well, I think I had posted that I put Quartzite on the calendar and "might" attend.....there is no MIGHT!!
Lily and I will definitely be there. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
I plan to make the most of the trip and continue on over to Anza Borrego on Monday after the Quartzite event. I've been wanting to go there and what better time than when I'm just a few hours away.

How about this location?
27400 Dome Rock Rd W, Quartzsite, AZ, United States
That seems to match the map.
Not using the Dome Rock Campground?
May attend. Making plans for post holiday travel in our spare time.
There is one lone camper in the street view. Can't see it good enough to id it, tho.
Also looks like the photo in post #24 on the right side, they have 'circled the wagons'. LOL

you guys will really have no problem finding it. The hosts get there early, the eggs are easily visible from the road and there is no cross country figuring out to do.
Just do as Simon says.. follow dome rock road, look to the south for eggs.. pull in!
I have found it twice without a GPS.

I'm not worried about finding the location. I just get a kick out of how exacting people have to be with GPS's.
I have one but don't use it for locating campsites rather for Geocaching.
I still like using paper maps, road signs, the sun for east and west and just following my nose.

We also use our GPS for mostly off road with its Topo map. We mark our starting point and off we go into the hills and when we get lost we look to the GPs for our way back to camp. In a way its fun to take the wrong turns because we get to see things we would have never seen out riding. I would not ride the trails without one its to easy to get lost out on them. The longer you ride, the more trails you see.

The Wine Tasting
1 Everyone who wishes to participate must bring a bottle of wine. Any price or type, whites, reds, rose or other are fine.
2 All participants need to drop off bottle and sign in at Rosemarys trailer.
3 She will bag and label each bottle as to type and give wrist bands to participants.
4 At the arranged time (Sat afternoon) we will gather and go over the rules and pass out papers for grading the selections.
5 Each participant needs to bring their own wine glass and a pen or pencil.
6 Their will be 1st and 2nd place prizes for Reds, Whites and Misc. Their will also be a booby prize for the STINKER of the lot.
Bringing some type of snack to share with the group will be appreciated

AND... Just to point out... when you get down to 1/100 of a second of a degree (33o 38' 38.4[b] 5")... a ....01" is just around "to the nearest foot".
MORE accuracy than we need, IMHO. If you get within 100' you can probably SHOUT.
Math... circumfrence of the Earth = 24,902 miles (equator) (approx)
24902 / 360 dagrees = 69.17222... miles per degree
divided by 60 minutes = 1.15287 miles per minute or 6,087 feet
divided by 6o seconds = 101 1/2 feet per second
or about a foot per 1/100th of a second.
And for LONGITUDE that is the Equator value... as far north of the Equator as we are, it is even less.
