A bit off topic, but maybe important info for other rally
goers... with dogs, please help me out here.
I rescue dogs with severe behavioral problems that would otherwise make them be put down. One of my dogs, with people (Children too) is loving, cute, funny and reasonably well trained, but is dog aggressive. He goes ape flippy when he encounters other dogs, and sometimes takes his in ability to interact out on my female. He is ALWAYS contained and not allowed to interact with other dogs unless he knows them well. He settles once he gets used to thier being around, but that can take several hours of sight exposure. Most of the time, you will see him in a kennel when out, and if tethered, I am always within jumping range.
My female has severe seperation anxiety and she makes lots of noise if she can't see mama in an unfamiliar situation. When out, she will normally be with me at all times, on lead.
This is why they normally do not go to rallies. It's just a bit ovewhelming for me to keep them under control and be social too. It's not real fun for my male to be in jail most of the time either...
I sure appreciate Mike thinking of this need and placing me in a spot where they can be accomidated. I do not have the option of leaving them in my home, they have to go to a kennel.
I have no right to ask, but...If you have pups, I ask that you avoid bringing them near the red and white trailer. The spot I am in should make that easy for folks, and I will be in a place where I can interact with them AND people with little fuss.
Oddly, at home in thier own environment.. these problems just don't exist. They also LOVE to be snuggled in the trailer with Mom.
Anyway, back to your normally scheduled rally
