Come on up John, you wont be the only scamp as my wife Candy and I just got our hands on an 87 5er scamp. so far we love it and have only worked on it in the driveway. our first trip out with it will be the weekend after the fourth but we will be in Niagra on site 76 i think. I will have to check that number but look forward to the cooler nights in a bigger trailer.

Hey Alf,
Do you know if there are any sites still available with full hookups within the group? I think we can make it with the Quahog! I'll call tomorrow if we can get nearby. Thanx

Jim,
It is a very small campground. You will be nearby anywhere. Full hookups are rare on the "day use sites", the electricity is questionable, but there is a dump station. Well there was, somebody with a big rig hit it last year, I presume they had it fixed by now.

Hi: cpaharley... Jim... Yes they have full hook sites and yes it's a small park so everywhere is close. It used to be a KOA many moons ago. We are in site 52 and it has 30 amp. so power is not a problem... for us. Some of the 15 amp. sites have to share a recepticle and that makes for close camping!!!
It'll be great to meet you there.

Just made our reservation, site 48 or 49, she said there was a royalty fee the further we are able to get away from site #52 !!! I guess Alf has been there before
Speaking of fees, there are some for using US credit cards, so cash is king. She said the cc will hold it and cash can be used to pay.
Question, this is our first trip to Canada with our dogs. How much longer thru customs and is there an issue with dog food?

cpharley- if crossing with a dog you should have a signed rabies certificate and a sealed bag of food. In both directions the restrictions on dog food regularly change. They are much more strict from Canada TO the US.
If you bring the right ammount to last for your stay then you don't need to worry about the open bag issue. Don't bring more than you need, your guys can take it from you on the return crossing.
Most commonly available US dog foods are also available in Canada as well.
And- chances are they won't say a thing in either direction

First time driver in Canada-
What about proof of auto insurance & registration for tow and trailer ? ARe these needed or just your passport? Oh crap, I just realized, I'm going to have to register my Escape stateside before bringing it next month (I have a temp tag) because Canada will want to see US registration for a Canadian trailer trying to leave Canada! This trip is going cost me close to $2 grand now, holy cow!!
