hmmm not sure if they let railers on the ferry. maybe they would charge you twice as much?
interesting thought though. i think i'll look into the ferry from ludington to wisconson,,, wonder if i would need a co-signer to afford that?<_<

I see RVs on the ferry often, they even take 18 wheelers. Not sure how much they charge for car plus trailer. It's $6 for just the car.

This rally can now be considered international...as I just booked our reservation for site #124.
Also, I double checked it with the folks that take the reservations...since it appears that it might of been double booked !! (see above !!)
Pls count on Paul, Mary & Malibu (the mini-schnauzer) arriving on Friday in the late afternoon !!
Cheers, P.

If Malibu your mini schnauzer meets Katie our standard schnauzer will that become an international incident or international tail sniffing good will conference? Katie is dog friendly but that trait seems to vary a good deal in the breed.

Hi Roger : Mal's a (fixed) 9yr old little girl (20lbs) & usually get's along well with other dogs, once she gets her initial " tasmanian devil" routine out of the way to figure out who's dominant.
Considering Katie is a standard (& so who's bigger won't be in question..) they'll be just fine !!

Another Canuck
Hi eggers,
We (Jennifer and Ivan) will be coming from the Milton, Ontario area in our Predom Prespol N126, aka "Captain". We have booked site 121.
I noticed there weren't any choices on the reservation site for anything smaller than 20 feet. For shame!!

Pot luck food
Reviewing the older messages about food. willing to try to goat (had it once before in South America - hard to tell from lamb or beef) but anything is ok. Not so sure about Ivan - he is probably more a chicken guy.
One way to do pot lucks is to "assign" certain classes of food based on last names - A-L does salads + rolls, M-R does desserts, S-Z main dish - that sort of scheme. Only need to split two ways as the main dish (the goat / turkey etc) is already supplied. Just a thought to avoid all desserts (which happened once to me; now I always bring a main dish unless assigned something else). Or we just take our chances and it likely works out just fine.

My wife has pretty much decided on a mixed fruit salad because we've rarely or never seen any others. Did that for the Indiana rally in May and going to do that for the August Colorado rally at Camp Hale.

Canucks and Brooms
Hmm, we are closer to Niagara than Saskatchewan - maybe we can set up a wine-tasting panel instead? We can use the brooms to sweep the crumbs off the table.

Katie is short for Katriina. Hmmmm " tasmanian devil" meet hurricane Katrina, wonder if the sites down wind will mind the dust? Lord have mercy if there are squirrels!

I will wait until closer to the event and 'fill in' where needed with some sort of foodstuffs. We can always post what we're bringing and that way, there'll be a general idea of carbs/protein/veggies
