You can change that to only 7 as we noted you did not have any Scamps list so decided to correct that situation and join you.

Cheese tasting tour? Are we allowed to add a little wine tasting with the cheese?

One of the ladies in our group is organizing a tour of one of the local Cheese Makers. Just a heads up, we have 2 ELECTRIC cork screws, one is 120V and the other is battery operated. (...does THAT tell you anything ) Sometimes we have a wine n cheese party too! Most times we have a 'bring what ya brung' pot luck supper. Sunday nite is usually pizza night (ordered and delivered in from a local pizza place). You do NOT need to partake of this pizza thing, its something the Trailer Goddess and I started so that "WE" wouldn't have soo much to clean up before packing up, LOL!!!!

Hello there

To all those who are coming to the May Meet, I'm the crazy one planning the social events. I'm planning a mini-golf tournament on May 19th (the Saturday) though the actual date and time is subject to the weather, but since the mini-golf course is on the campground site, I think keeping it flexible will be fine! Check out the May Meet site for prices for the golf.

On Sunday at 1pm we are taking a tour of a local Dairy Farm and will participate in a Cheese tasting. The cost is $10 and the farm is only 5 mins away (by car) from the campground. Check out their site if you like http://www.farmhousecheeses.com/farm_tours.shtml

Drop me a line if you'd like to come

Gail

What a difference a day makes, huh?

Down to one remaining site left.

Hi Ron,

Can you let Doug or I know your trailer year for the name tags? We'd also like to know if you're bringing a "significant partner" so that they don't get left out.

Thanks.

Hi Carol and Glenn,

A couple of things:

What year is your Scamp?
Also what's the 'H.' stand for?

Doug is making up name tags so you can contact us off-forum if you wish.

So, I gather from your latest email that ALL sites are spoken for EXCEPT that we can still double up on a handfull of sites with higher amp power connections, right?

Sites 61 through 72 can be doubled up. This is a bargain for everyone as the campground will only charge for the extra people. Two trailers could double up and split the fee and save $$$$

I wish that I was able to attend this year. I had a great time last year! This year's attendance would have been a special event for me as I took the Oath of Citizenship at the Canadian Consulate in Seattle on May 8th!! I now have my "dual" status restored! I'm now free to live and work in Canada. It has been a seven year wait and two separate applications and many, many months of waiting. The reason I'm making this post on this topic is that I was hoping that someone familiar with the Langley area could suggest an RV campground near Langley. Since the Ft Langley RV campground won't be open until June 15th, I need an alternative site. I'm going to be in/around Langley the weekend before the U.S. Memorial Day holiday, Monday May 28th. I need to go into the Langley Services Canada Centre Monday morning to file my papers for my SIN. I feel so honoured to be a Canadian citizen again after many, many years. There is so much to learn before I make the move north!!

Ron, not HAVING to use any of this areas campgrounds, I cannot in all honesty recommend one campsite over the other. There doesn't appear to be too many campgrounds in around Langley proper, except for 'Datwilers' which is about a 7/8 minute drive into downtown Langley. BUT....NO PETS

Surrey, on the other hand has more listed (also a longer drive), the largest seeming to be "Dogwood Campgrounds"

There are other 'grounds closer to the border but further west (again, into Surrey) of Langley.

Depending on how much time you need to spend in town that weekend, there is a nice, well equipped campground in Sumas.WA and a REALLY nice KOA in Lynden WA. These two parks might necessitate repeted border crossings (obviously)

Thanks, Doug. Addy, my black Lab will be with me so that leaves out the no pet Datwilers. Looks like the KOA in Lynden would be better or maybe if the Langley area has a WalMart, I could do the KOA on Saturday night in Lynden and the Walmart parking lot in Langley for Sunday night before I go into the Service Centre on Monday morning. I'm taking the Bigfoot because I don't know of any "pet friendly" motels in Langley. Guess I could try to Google and find out though. How much for gas towing a Bigfoot with a Tundra at 11.5 mpg? Lots!
Thanks for your help.
