I was just in email contact with Craig, our Egg Master and he indicated to me that this springs meet looks like its going to go ahead afterall!!

Plans are being set for the gathering this time to be held at The Big Foot Campground about an hour east of Vancouver B.C. at Lake Harrison. The park is within walking distance to the town center (mineral hot springs, etc), close to at least two restaurants + + +!!!

Craig had said he was going to see about firming up commitments from the park management sometime this coming week, so look for further updates as the come in...!

DONNA , are you listening????

I've got lots of trips already on my calendar but I'd be curious about the dates, too.

I would have liked to attend the Boler/Trillium Prairie Egg Rally but unfortunately it's on the same weekend as the Big Oregon Fibreglass Gathering at Bandon. Too bad it wasn't scheduled for either the weekend before or after the Oregon Gathering. I'd been there.

Well, thus far the meet is set up for the May long weekend but its not AS YET confirmed. Peach Land is a great rod run and MANY Mission Klassics AND their Glass Eggs go there, only to come back home whinning either about the rain or snow or combination thereof. There should be a small contingant of rodders with their appropriately appointed (did I say THAT? ) trailers in tow.
Kurt, do you ever attend the show n shines in Aggy??

I have never been to a show in Agassiz.

My car is not the normal rodder type though, even capable of pulling my Boler for that matter....

Well, Craig, his lovely bride Jill, The Trailer Goddess and myself met today with Don, the park manager, in the torrential rain to firm up our commitments for this springs Glass Egg Convention at Bigfoot Campgrounds in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C.

We have set aside sites # 49 to 70 inclusive for our use on the May long weekend, May 18/20. There seems to be NO park site map on the link to the park (as yet) but we discovered that the sites from 63 upwards are full service sites , with power, water and sewer. The other sites alloted to us have only power and water.
There are also 2 sizes of camping cabins available (for those that are Egg Challenged?) but they are NOT located near the group sites we have set aside.

Big Foot Campgrounds is located only 1/2 mile from Harrison Town Centre where the indoor Mineral Springs are located along with a seemingly endless variety of speciality shops, eateries and the (almost) world famous Sand Castle building beach is located.

For those unfamiliar with Harrison Resort, the beach has a 'sand bar enclosed' public beach where the water temps are almost always WARM and just over the other side of the sand bar, one can dip their toes (WHY ) in ice cold glacial fed waters. The fishing is awsum, and boating is outstanding.

This time round, reservations are to be made through the park manager ( NOT through Craig) with special note that you are wishing to be part of the Glass Egg Meet. Otherwise you may get parked somewhere else.

Yes to K-9's. You NEED to kawl the C/G and make your our reservations being SURE you tell they you are with the Glass Egg Group.....
OH hey, BTW, your "egg" was D O N E before noon!

Campfires, well theres another B.C. issue.... ....there is ONLY one or two 'designated campfire pits' (community pits?) BUT they DO rent propane 'firepits' and we can use those IF we have them. The Trailer Goddess and I have 2, so for sure we will be bringing one, with an extra 30#er of propane.

and are 'discretely' allowed, also... and are acceptable up and untill Q U I E T ~T I M E
