Must send out BIG THANK YOU's to all the fellows who so dilligently and quickly repaired my awning. I try so hard not to badger my "Sweetie" about those little details that I always tended to before. For instance; it is important to nail the stakes completely down to hold the legs securely to the ground, Preventing the awning legs from flying up off of the ground and destroying the awning!
I actually did notice early in the day that the wind was lifting the awning and hammering the leg brackets up against the top of the stake heads...which were not completely in the ground, but, I got busy and went off to tour the area with Glen.
Sorry for leaving the thing for others to rescue.
I think "we" learned a big lesson and were grateful no more damage occured than actually did.

So, Thanks again!!!:sunny
Angie

For those interested in that Lightweight Reversible Patio Mat that we had under our awning. I found it in my new Camper World Catalogue on page 34, bottom of page.

Also located some online at

http://www.siskensales.com/main/mats_frame.html

It is very lightweight, doesn't kill the grass, easy to clean and folds up smaller than the indoor outdoor carpet Mats. We have several friends that are big believes in them and we finally came across a vendor at one of our Music Festivals. Ours is about 6 x 9.
Good Luck:sunny

We weren't there, but...

we managed a bluebonnet campout a couple of counties away, between Fredricksburg and Llano off Hwy 16, see?

At least we got out into the bluebonnets (and the white ones and the pink ones, really!)

Oooohh, Nice shot, Don!!

Yep, you weren't too far from us... the flowers are fabulous this year, no?

Weather's not bad, neither! (Although they're saying it'll be 37 degrees Wednesday morning in the Austin area. :nope)

Yeah, then we would've had 25!!

Although, actually, I don't think 25 would've fit. Remember, Marlene's trailer's a Patriot!

:ola :ola

Should this be in the Jokes section?

Good Time

We really enjoyed the weekend. It was just a little too short. We traveled about 725 miles and it was worth every mile of it. I even ate a banana boat! But Mary did not prepare any boiled okra. Oh well, maybe she will do that next time.

Is this a Joke?

Did you really have 23 bodies in a Patriot? :huh We only had 17 people attending our rally. We really had room for more. After all, the bathroom was empty and so was the closet. Hope we get to see some pictures!:wave :wave

You know what, Leslie? I was thinking this morning, nobody not once (not within earshot anyway) ever said anything remotely connected to okra at the Bluebonnet festival! (Hooray!)

Sorry about that banana boat. I skedaddled when Barb showed up, leaving Skip holding the boat(s). He'd never even seen one, much less made one before. So yours was a bit skimpy on the marshmallows and chocolate chips. (And I completely forgot about bringing the rum! That was Paula Gold's job...) Better luck next time, I hope!

Was really good to finally meet you and Donna!

Well, Darline-

We had 24 Casitas and (I think) 47 people. Plus several visitors on Saturday afternoon. (Hi, Winston and Kathleen!!)

Yes, we really stuffed 23 people (I prefer not to call them bodies, thankyouverymuch!) into Marlene's Patriot. You can ask Nick. He'll corroborate; he might even show you how we did it, at Lake Lopez.

I don't think there were any photos made, although maybe Bob Hunt took one, but we could probably draw you a picture. Would a diagram suffice?

Leslie and Donna

:wave Hi, Leslie and Donna! Nice to see you again.

No, you didn't see me, but I saw you! I couldn't make it to the Fest, but saw you stopped at a traffic light just across the bridge on your way out of town in Marble Falls. My trailer was already parked, so you wouldn't have known I was a kin! ;) If it wasn't you, then it was someone else with 'Mesiquite, TX' on their tire cover.

:E :E Sneaky, aren't I?
