Looks like we're in line for perfect weather! We have plenty of room for any last minute signups! [b]We could use a green salad for Saturday dinner, and dessert commitment. We'll do the wine tasting around 3:00. I'm getting excited--we haven't been out with Pearl for a long time.

We'll bring the salad, a bundle of fire wood and an EZ Up just in case.

It's looking good for me to get away - I should be able to make it down sometime in the afternoon (from geyserville) I will bring a desert to share with no concern as to fat and calorie content! I assume chocolate is always a good thing......

Nancy,

Any chance of getting in on the event at this late date? If so, what should we bring? We would arrive Saturday, early afternoon.

Bring a salad, potato or anything you think would go with lamb, chocolate and zin. Or if you don't eat lamb, bring something to grill, and one of the above. Hope you can make it!

Oops, Glen was bringing salad--never can have too much green, but if you catch this, maybe a potato or grain/pasta? Whatever....

Well, a great time was had by all--I'll try to get some pix up. As we passed through San Juan Bautista, we stopped at the local market, and were accosted by Casita groupies. This, as you know, is a frequent occurance. This time though, it was local Casita owners, wanting to get together. So we invited them to our gathering, and son of a gun, turns out they are musicians. We had entertainment for dinner--mandolin, fiddle and squeeze box, playing early California, Irish and folk music. THEN, they got out the bagpipes and the melodies echoed throughout the valley as the full moon hung overhead. Well, we might have hung over a bit too, but it was a truly romantic fiberglass experience.

Oh, I am so bummed. I did so want to go. My favorite kind of music is Irish Folk music. We have several CDs from our Mountainman Black Powder era.
