Wink Waxing poetic - ????

ALGONAC 2012

On St. Clair shore we gathered,
An assortment of eggs without crates.
To share and compare and tell stories,
From Canada and the United States.

Some rigs are lit up like Christmas,
With L.E.D.s, lanterns and signs.
And many have dogs in the trailer,
All sizes, all colours, all kinds.

Our Trilliums are not flowers.
Are bolers are not hats.
The Scamps are not mischievious
And the Burro's not really an ass.

The Captain's here from Poland.
But the Captain's not really in charge.
And Humpty's not the Egg Camper
Tho' it is quite round and quite large.

La La land sent the Casita,
From the coast with the sunshine and wine.
But I still think the best trailer,
Was the Trillium that I call mine.

The Pot Luck spread was delicious.
With food I'd never tasted before.
And some that I did not recognize,
But I still went back for more.

So Campers, let me say thank you.
For the food, the friendship and fun.
My first Rally is now just a memory,
But it will always be my number one.

Scouter Dave.

Dave, it was my honor to meet you and take part in the bracelet making, Also I felt a great trust in you when you let me work the frying pan and cook your home made toutens. You are a kind man and a new great friend, happy traveling and lets do it again next year.

Dave, That poem is wonderful (as were the toutens and your stories). Blessings to you, and safe travels!

May your Trill continue to keep you safe, warm, and with your head on the 'high side' of the slope

Great poem Dave, sure enjoyed your stories, toutens , and your survival bracelet instructions. Hope we cross paths again. Just to let you know, I now own about 300 ft of paracord and have made a few more bracelets. Just maybe we can make a trip up your way someday.

I am also a paracord junky with the 3/8" contour clips. My grandson made his first one for his mother and will be making one for himself at his den meeting with the other scouts.

My apologies! It must have been one of those moments..... senior or otherwise....
There is no "Edit" option on the text so I can't get in to change it..

Please amend the Algonac 2012 poem as follows:
Verse three(3), line two(2), word before Boler should read 'Our' vice 'Are'

and I forgot to mention the survival bracelets so I may l have to re-visit this one...
