Trailer: 1988 17 ft Widebody Burro

This Burro has not just been 'loved' - it has been ADORED. We honestly never thought we'd sell our beloved Burro....but....we came across an opportunity to upgrade to a bigger Burro (that isn't nearly as cute or clean as the one we are selling). I wish we could keep them both....but we can't. Bad for me. Good for you.

This 1983 little gem is like new and ready to roll (just add your stuff!!). VERY clean interior - practically spotless!! All of the interior fiberglass has been polished and buffed - it looks like new! All of the cushions have been well kept and recently steam cleaned - no rips or tears except for the front cushion. The front couch cushion is ripped on the backside, but it is still very useable.

If you are looking at this listing, you are probably familiar with fiberglass campers. They are extremely light and easy to tow - you hardly know it's back there! Burros are extremely easy to maintain and very easy to use. If you are looking for a simple, reliable, easy to tow, easy to use, fun little 'tent' on wheels - this Burro is for you! Not only are they retro, rare and hard to find (especially in this condition), but they are a lot of fun and they turn a lot of heads.

Included:
New Water Jug (4.5 gallons)
Sink Hose (for hand pump)
Fire Extinguisher
Portable Propane Heater (uses small propane canisters)
Curtains (freshly washed)
1 free standing jack support
chocks
brand new spare tire w/ tire cover (some slight cracking in the vinyl cover)
2 safety chains
gravel shield
propane tank
Clear title
Original Owners manual This in itself is a rare thing!! It looks like all 45 pages were handwritten by the Burro manufacturers.
I also have the original color sales brochure!!

Specs:
4 pin trailer connector
Uses 2" ball
Exterior Length = 13'
Exterior Height = 7'4"
Exterior Width = 6'5"
Interior Length = 10'
Interior Height = 6'2"
Dry weight = Approx 900lbs

Features:
sink with hand pump
two burner stove w/ stainless steel cover
Lots of convenient 3M Hooks (easy to remove if you want too!)
Tons of storage - tall closet and five big bins for storage + 2 overhead cabinets
table converts to a bed (6'4"x47" double bed)
(2) 12V lights that run on battery (battery not included)
110V hook up provides power to two outlets and a florescent light
Pergo laminate flooring - durable and easy to clean
2 custom door knobs/handles
sleeps three people
Tires are only three years old
exterior only shows minor wear
tinted sliding and screened windows - NO leaks
clear title
ice box

Ok - the not so perfect items:

There aren't many items on the 'not so perfect' list, but I want to be as thorough as possible. Although this Burro is spotless, the exterior could use a good washing. We give it the Burro a good bath twice a season and she cleans up REALLY well. The large front cushion is ripped on the backside, but still very useable. It has been like this since we bought it and we always had intentions of redoing it - but since it was never a problem and it's still very functional we never got around to it! And as I mentioned above, the spare tire cover does have a few cracks in the vinyl - hardly noticeable.

And because I know people will ask:
There is NO bathroom. There IS however room for a porta potty under the front couch (porta potty not included).
There is NO furnace (but I am including a portable propane heater).
There is NO fridge (but the icebox works great for pantry/dry good items - and let's be honest - a cooler holds more beer than a mini fridge anyway).

$4,300 OBO

I have a TON more photos!!

Amy this is a beautiful trailer, I am jealous of how how nice yours looks compared to my 82. Thank you for the pictures posted I look at them as inspiration. This trailer is a great find in its condition, so I'm sure it will be gone soon.

Yes, my little Burro is still for sale. I have a few people coming to look this weekend, but as of now - 'she' is still looking for her new home.

My beloved Burro found her new home last Friday!!
Thankfully she went to be with someone who is going to love her as much as we did!!
(how do I move this thread to the sold section??)

I have to say......It has truly been an adventure selling my little Burro.
We have met some really wonderful people along the way - some of which I <strike>hope to</strike> know I will keep in touch with!

This website has been a blessing! I have learned so much and I will continue to do so!!
Thank you to all of the other 'egg campers' out there!!
