1984 13 Ft. UHaul - For Sale

For Sale 1984 - 13 Ft. UHaul. All original, very good shape. I never used the inverter or the furnace. So, I cannot say if it works or not, but I assume it does. Actually, I never camped in this trailer. I bought it and it was a little heavy for my Toyota and I found a lighter Scamp. This camper is located in Wheeling, West Virginia. One hour south of Pittsburgh, PA. (Home of the Stanley Cup Champion Pens!!!)

I'm not the person you asked, but I do tow with a 4-cylinder car (although it's larger than a Camry, I have also towed with a Toyota Corolla in the past).

Off all the 13 foot eggs, I probably wouldn't choose the U-haul if you have a marginal tow vehicle. They are great trailers, in my opinion, with an extra-sturdy frame; but that comes at a slight weight cost, with the "empty" published weight of 1250#.

As always, it's good to weigh each individual trailer, but having taken a look at a U-haul, I believe that it does weigh a bit more. Built for the rental trade, and basic and sturdy.

I have a 2003 V6 3.0L Camry, so enough power. I see that a class II hitch (with 8 bolts versus 4) is avail. rated at 3500 lbs.

I was towing a trailer about 4000lbs (3000lbs dry) with a Jeep Cherokee, but that's a whole different kettle of fish!

I am wondering if I should go with a 13' or 16' ft f/b trailer with the car. I would love to do the 16' but the weight starts getting close to 2000lbs loaded. I would probably need electric brakes on the trailer, since the frame of the car is my main concern, and this would be helpful (I'm guessing).

I'm now waaay off topic - maybe this belongs in a different forum??
