Trailer: 86 Burro 17 ft Widebody
Posts: 64
Hello,
My 1986 17' Burro is now for sale. It is a very nice restored trailer. The following items were done after I purchased it and are now 3 years old, totally brand new frame with rear full width cross tool box, rear stabilzers, new Dexter 3000# Torsion axle with 10" electric brakes, new Goodyear marathon tires, new Fantastic Fan with rain sensor, all windows pulled and resealed with butyl caulking, no leaks, dual propane tanks, heavy duty battery, intellicharge charger/converter with charge wizard, gravity propane furnace, I use a portable propane stove outside as there is no stove inside, we did not like to cook inside the trailer, battery operated CO/fire detector, screen door, all new stainless steel hinges(no more rusty hinges), bike rack built onto tongue, 5000 BTU air conditioner that slides out the side(this is a standard room A/C and it cooled the trailer fine on our summer trips to Myrtle Beach SC), full length crank out awning (no arms to deal with), no bathroom we used a Porta potty and there is a space to clamp one down, I need the porta potti because more often than I like the town sewer is overflowing and we have no service to it, double sink, dorm fridge that we used to run off of the 200 ?? watt inverter while enroute. large rear permanant (we use a queen size air mattress) bed with hinged base, and more. I tow it with my 2004 F150 and get 14 MPG. It tows really nice and looks very nice, always kept polished and it is ready to go. Selling because I am buying a motorhome. $7000.00
Located in Hudson, MA
Please send me a PM for pictures if you are interested in purchasing it.
Thank you,
Rick D.

Also, those are 14" tires/wheels for a better ride. The wheel wells were enlarged to accomodate the larger diameter tires.

All,
Nice trailer with new frame and axle/brakes/tires and rims. Frame extended 2' in rear to hold a truck cross box. Frame tongue extended about 8", 2 bike rack integrated into tongue. The rear bed in this will take a queen size air mattress. It is much larger than any Scamp, Trillium or Boler bed. I believe it is 56 wide x 74 long.
$6000.00 OBO

As a result of some inquiries I measured the bed and it is 54" wide x 87" long, and the interior height is 6'1"

I'm curious, have you tried advertising it anywhere besides here? Like maybe Craigslist? This is certainly a good place to go for people who get excited about FG trailers, but it's not the only place where such people look. Have you considered ebay? Just trying to be helpful!

Now, having just bought a Burro, I'm trying to figure out why I am sitting here wishing I had the time and money to go get another one... I think I've caught a contagion!

Hello Rick
Is the trailer still available? I've been looking eight months for a traiiler like this in the New England area.
