I had a 1993 and found the 4" dropped axle
really low. I was hoping it would work to keep wind resistance to a minimum but found I was hitting the hitch and rear skid bar on speed bumps in campsites and had a tough time with sloped back alley access to park.
I had a straight axle built and I installed it in under an hour for about $200 if my memory serves me. Was one of the better updates as emptying the tanks was so much easier with a little extra height as well.
Hope that helps!
