My husband and I are looking for a 19' Escape but your 17' Bigfoot might do the job. Need to know: Overall length/width/height, water carrying capacity and ground clearance at the knife valves/black water drain. We would also appreciate more photos, particularly side shots to see axle placement and interior photos of the bathroom area. Thanks.

Do you know whether it's possible to flip the springs on the axle of this beast? And whether you'd be able to fit bigger tires on it?

I'm up north of the border and need to be careful about clearances.

Really like the trailer.

It seems like I have read about someone flipping the axles on these but not sure. Probably be a good question for the regular forum. I'll see what I can find out.

I had a 1993 and found the 4" dropped axle really low. I was hoping it would work to keep wind resistance to a minimum but found I was hitting the hitch and rear skid bar on speed bumps in campsites and had a tough time with sloped back alley access to park.

I had a straight axle built and I installed it in under an hour for about $200 if my memory serves me. Was one of the better updates as emptying the tanks was so much easier with a little extra height as well.

Hope that helps!
Lonny

If this Bigfoot has a torsion-type axle, it's my understanding that they can't be flipped.

Bigfoot in MO

I just came across your Bigfoot listing on the fiberglass rv site. Is it still available? We live in Springfield and would love to see it if still available. Thanks.
