Ralph, Sorry, I haven't been here for a long time. If you will post your number I will call you if you are still interested. I am still not able to get a title and $2200 takes it "as is where is".

I bought a Trillium the other day from a guy in NH. I had him write a bill of sale to my buddy who lives in NH. So now it is registered to him . I live in MA. I can take the registration from NH and with a bill of sale register and/or title it in MA. I am sure he can do the same for the one you have. If you do not sell it to Addison I may be interested. Email me if it falls through. Randy

That's what I and, I believe, most people would do.
But...the seller has philosphical problems with doing that. I wonder why he'd be willing to sell to a buyer knowing that's what the buyer will be doing since he thinks it's shady at least and probably illegal. By selling to someone who he knows would be titling it in this manner wouldn't he be aiding and abetting?
And I quote the seller...
"It has been an interesting "learn" to find out how different the states are in the "titling" department. SC has some pretty strict guidlines due to the number of shady transactions over the years. GA and SC had a bad history due to their lax laws and SC's newer and stricter laws.
I could have made some semi-legal...totally unethical and not so moral decisions and got a title through GA but I do not live my life that way. The laws, even though we sometimes disagree with them, can actually protect us in some cases and I choose to abide by them and go that route."
For him to take part in a transaction that would eventually involve "some semi-legal...totally unethical and not so moral decisions" would seem to be a violation of his moral code.
Hmmm....

The problem is that there is nothing illegal about it. You sell it to the person in NH on a bill of sale which is totally legal. Unless he really doesn't want to sell it?

Mr Crowl, Are you an appointed or self appointed "Morals" guard for this forum? I could sell "YOU" a corvette knowing that you might possibly "Speed" on the highways. Should I keep it because of what you might do? I am not your ar anybody else's "Morals" or legal guard. What you do with something after you purchase it is soley your responsibility and noboby else's. I did advertise it as not having a title nor try to hide it, I also described what I had tried to do to get a title alerting anyone interested what they would be up against. There are some states that will allow a purchaser to get a title under these conditons. Now that being said, let's leave it alone Please.
