<span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">[b]1996 13' Scamp Easy Tow Camping Trailer </span> <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"> [b]Vehicle Description </span>
This is a great little camping trailer, and we've enjoyed it immensely, although with our expanding family, it means it's time to move on to something larger (it's had only one owner, us). It's small size means it can go in state parks where most other trailers cannot tread, and it can be hauled by smaller vehicles (it has electric brakes to aid the vehicle's brakes, but this feature must be installed in the towing vehicle). It is the Deluxe model, meaning it has wood cabinets which make for a cozy interior feel, and a ton of lights, some 12 VDC and some 120 VAC. It has a good amount of cabinet space for storing clothes, food, and other necessities. Two burner propane stove, sink w/ pump or hose hook-up, and a little port-a-potty. The seating table folds down and turns into a two sleeper bed. No one ever smoked inside, and it's been stored under a covered shed, so it hasn't been exposed to the elements much during storage. The tires are relatively new with plenty of good tread and they've been stored off the vehicle to prevent rot. There is plenty of ventilation, everything from a screen door to a roof vent, and four opening windows.
It's in good shape - the biggest problem is that the fridge is currently not working. It's a three-way fridge able to run off of propane, DC battery, or 110V from an extension cord. A new Dometic model is ~ $7-900, and we don't know if the problem is fixable or a new frig is needed (it won't start up, and we haven't tried to fix it). At some point, the seal around the front window was leaking (now fixed) and this puddled up for a few weeks on the composite countertop, leading to an area (maybe 18" in diameter) where it bubbled up. The countertop is still functional with no discoloration, just some bumpiness. No current leaks. It also could use a new deep cycle battery (~$60). The carpet has seen some wear, and the curtains are somewhat faded (both cheap and easy to replace). Also, at present we cannot find the key, as we never lock it. As far as we know, all the blinkers and brake lights are in good working order. It's been a superfun little trailer, and we'll miss it! If properly stored, it should still have a few decades of camping left in it. The trailer is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for picking up from Roxboro, NC, about 33 miles north of Durham, NC. Payment in full is expected within 10 days of closing.
