I'm working up to sell my 1999 Burro and I'm just testing the forum waters for any interest.
My Burro has had almost no use in its life so everything is like new inside except for the updates I've done. This is the model with the dinette in front and another dinette in back which makes into a double bed. It has a toilet and shower. The galley has a 3 burner stove, SS sink. The tires are good and it has a spare mounted on the rear. It has a 7 pin connection w/ electric brakes. No leaks. Single propane tank.

These are the the updates I've added:

+75 watt solar panel on roof
+12 volt/110 volt TurboKool rooftop evaporative cooler - works great in dry climate and also doubles as an exhaust fan
+Built in Olympian propane catalytic heater
+New high rise faucet in galley
+New wood-tone lino
+New InterWest awning
+Extra 110 volt and 12 volt sockets
+New deep cycle house battery
+New refrigerator (electric only)
+Cable TV hookup through wall
+Flexible cantilever mount for flat screen TV

and more I can't remember right now!! I have a double propane set up I haven't installed yet as well as a cute bumper rack designed for an ATV which fits in a 2" receiver hitch.

I have mixed feelings about selling it but it is not getting used.

And the question we all want to ask, but are afraid to...what's the ballpark?

BEAUTIFUL and wonderfully spacious inside (compared with our Compact Jr.), but way out of our price range for now. I'll keep tinkering with ours, and wish you the best on the sale.

Beautiful Burro. You have done a nice job of making the spacious space very efficient as well as added some nice amenities. Good luck with the sale!

oh.. come practice on mine first then!

Nancy, your rig sounds like an almost exact dupe of mine. OI am, however, quite jealous of your Wave heater.

Nancy A.,

just curious if you still had the burro? i see your web-link is still active. any idea what yours weighs sitting there as-is? (or Gina D., an idea of a ballpark weight for a unit like this as it appears yours is similar - plus/minus added accessories, of course).

thanks!

Hi Reinhold,

The Burro site says the dry weight is 1800 and the hitch weight is 125. I have tried to use lightweight things inside it - the TurboKool AC only weighs 35lbs.

I still have the Burro but have a lot of folks interested.

Do you have pix? Actually, first of all, is it still for sale. We'd love to see it. We're in Prescott.
