What's a 3m tape mod?

It makes the twin bed mattress platforms wider and the aisle narrower. The brackets and boards that do this are attached with 3m VHB tape, which can be removed leaving no screw/rivet holes if a later owner wants to undo the mod. See pictures #12 & 13 in the link.
