Hi Ken. Any idea how much the Amerigo weighs? What did your parent use to tow it? Thanks. Donna

They towed it with a Jeep Grand Cherokee 8 cyl SUV. Probably overkill.

Sorry, I don't know the weight. Maybe someone else here does.

The seller of the Amerigo FG-16 that was on eBay (No Bids @ $2550 minimum bid)

1973 Amerigo Fiberglass Camping Trailer 16 ft in RVs & Campers | eBay Motors

that I looked as a week or so ago, states that total weight is 2050 lbs with a tongue weight of 350 lbs. The total weight sounds about right but I suspect that the tongue weight was with a full water tank, thats located towards the front. That would boost tongue weight considerably.

Amerigo 16

Hi,
I am interested in your trailer. Is it still available? How are the tires? What type of trailer plug is on it? I live in SW lower MI. Are there any concerns you are aware of concerning a 300 mile tow? Would this Wed the 25th be a good day to come have a look. I can be contacted at gcvarmint@gmail.com

Thanks
George

Amerigo no longer for sale

Due to some electrical issues found that need to be fixed, and also family issues right now that make it difficult to sell, we're taking the trailer off of the market until at least the spring of 2014.

Ken, we live in Brimfield and would be very interested in your trailer in the spring for our kids. Spring actually is good for us since no one would have to store it. If you would refer back to the site and contact us when you are ready to sell, we would appreciate it.

If you cannot get to the wiring, that is probably something my husband could work on without you fixing it. Thanks, terry r.
