Backup LCD / Camera - ONE DAY ONLY

Today (Sunday, 8 April) Daily Steals has a back-up camera/LCD set for $34.99. See: Daily Steals Today Main .

Note that this, if they are true to form, is a ONE DAY SALE.

(I've bought from these guys in the past... they're OK.)

I'm trying to figure out how this camera could be mounted on the back of the trailer and transmit to the driver. Some Looooong cables? Has anyone done this?

Not this model, but I have a wired back up camera on my Escape. It comes from Rear View Safety, and is available with a connecting cable to go between the tow vehicle & the trailer. I bought a system that has 2 cameras - added one to the RAV4 as well - great for hitching up.

The ad says it comes with 17' RCA cables so I would think you could make a connection at the back of your tow rig and then continue on to the back of the trailer if thats where you want the camera. Waterproofing of said connection might be an issue though.

I got one of these, another brand I think, a couple of months ago. I haven't tried hooking it up yet. I'm figuring on just getting a 30 foot chunk of Appropriate Cabling to do the job.

As to the reviews... I ALWAYS read 'em when I'm thinking of buying off the sites like 1-sale-a-day, Woot!, and Yelp! Since I already had a backup camera, I didn't bother on this one. But, hey, for under 40 bucks I figure "what the heck".
