hey everyone - random entry here, but i happened to be at my town locksmith getting an obscure padlock key spare made (to lock the tongue shut on the Play Pac), when i saw a Bargmann lock on the shelf.

it wasn't working well and the guy said it was $25. however, he also had 2 new ones for $150 each - let me know if anyone needs any help. would be shipped from Monterey.

Are they L-300 or 400, they are different locks, the CT-13s take a L-300 other trailers take the L-400

looking into that today - forgot there were different kinds.
shop owner also said they had the oblong Brargmann locks that fit Airstreams. one of the locks may already be spoken for but i'll get the series number today and post here.

$150 is a smoking deal as I ended up paying $550 on ebay for brand new in the box...and there is an L66 posted for over $550 right now on ebay which can work with some reforming of the fiberglass opening...

ok folks,

they have 3 different Bargmanns but the only L series they have is the L-300. just one of them and he said it was $100 today. gotta love small towns ...

they have 3 kinds - one with a knob, one with a lever and oblong shape (for Airstreams), and one with a pull-paddle - guessing thats the L-300.

the new ones are at the shop next town over - so i just have an over the phone verification from the gentleman working at the shop that its an L-300.

the one i saw yesterday (below) is also L-300 ... but its not working properly. they are selling it for $25 though and i figure someone handy might use it for parts or know how to fix it? let me know and i can put you in touch with the store.

Mine was acting up, wouldn't lock easily and just seemed a bit loose, they are super easy to take apart. I replaced my springs, lubed it up and tightened everything up and it works really well now. $25 is a STEAL for someone who needs one. Heck, you could buy that thing and list it on ebay and make some decent money, especially if you get it working properly.
