take a "free" trip....

out here on the left coast...that trailer, with the add-ons, would probably/easily sell for 11,000+.....10,000 on a bad day (the AC would not be a big draw)

JMO of course....good luck with the sale

yep seems like it....

on craiglist those three were the ONLY three BTW....and "Vancouver" is a pretty big place... on Kijiji there were a couple of real old/tired ones and that was it.....lots and lots of BF campers and there are some great deals to be had on some BF fifthwheels (nobody seems to want those....same as with all fifthwheels these days it seems)

so looks to me there is an opportunity here....too bad I didn't see it a year ago....and that would be to buy a BF back east and haul it back across the country....it would pay for the gas if one was into taking a cross canada trip...and I just happen to visit eastern canada every few years (family visit)

there would also be the issue of getting the TV from west to east.....hummm... there's no "free lunch" is there?

Mike, I remember there was a thread that discussed what year the weight changed on the Bigfoot 17' or 17.5'. I made a mental note of it in case I ever wanted to get into a bigger trailer.

Might have been this thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ory-47404.html

Buying from a private owner, any ideas on what paperwork I would need to bring it back into the USA as a new owner?

Forgot to mention that you will need a passport or equivalent to cross the border yourself.

It already made it to Greg's site, there is not much more you will need to do. Believe me, it's out there now.

Looks good.

Note, 12 years ago we bought our Airstream from folks in Peterborough.

Mark, this model of Bigfoot most likely does not have a queen size bed. If it's similar to our 1987 model, there is a dinette that converts to a bed (only about 42" wide) and a "gaucho" bed that's a similar width, plus a bunk for a small child. The "dry" weight listed for this trailer may be accurate, but loaded for a trip I'd be surprised if it didn't weigh closer to 2,800 to 3,000 lbs. That's what ours weighs and we travel light and have neither an air conditioner nor an awning. Bigfoots are great trailers but heavier than most people think. This sounds like a nice one though!
