For Sale: 20' 1963 Ken-craft Travel Coach (California)

Trailer is in very good shape. Used sparingly, currently stored on property. Very original...heater, frig, stove, lights, etc. all work/function. Fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, toilet, shower, convertible dining area, 2 air conditioners, double propane tanks. Trailer works on propane, ac or dc. New tires and bearings recently repacked. Details available upon request. Located in Ventura, California. Will have to be picked up, I am unable to tow trailer. Asking $3000, purchased for $3750 two tears ago. Negotiable on price, reasonable offers will be considered. Motivated to sell.

It is not a molded fiberglass trailer which is what this forum is devoted to. People looking on this forum are looking for molded fiberglass trailers. You might find someone interested in your trailer here, but I hope that this is not the only place you have advertised.

The roof, front and rear caps are fiberglass. The sides at least on the ones i am familiar with are aluminum. They are very nice vintage trailers.

Kencraft did make some canned ham shaped trailers that had fiberglass sides as well but they were not molded.

Hi Mike, unique trailer. You may wish to advertise this also over at a different Social Knowledge forum iRV2 - RV Forum Community. A moderator will probably move this down to the Miscellanous RV section, because as Cindy mentioned it's not a molded fiberglass trailer.

Good luck with your sale!

Fiberglass myopia

The trailer seems to me, the layperson to be very much a fiberglass trailer. It has molded fiberglass panels and a molded fiberglass rear end...much as some members of this fine community seem to have, apparently, from the comments and opinions opined regarding this post. Maybe the name of this site should be changed to 'MOLDED Fiberglass RV' instead...since many members seem to very stuck on the molded aspects of their trailers. Tolerance...learning to live and accept others (less molded or not 100% completely molded), is a thought. Molded things = molded minds...or is that moldy minds?

Mike, no one here has been nasty to you or told you to remove your ad. On the home page it does say "Molded Lightweight Fiberglass RV" and then "Home of Lightweight Molded Fiberglass Travel Trailers RV". If you had spent some time here and looked around you would understand that we are into fully molded trailers. It's a niche website. We are just trying to be sure people understand the construction of the trailer and that the ad reaches the proper audience.

And as I said above Ken craft trailers are very nice trailers. I wish you luck in selling it.

We focus on being Molded just as you have focused on a Title. Fair enough to consider we all share a little short sightedness. However, being a Fiberglass Trailer and having Fiberglass content in your trailer are not quite the same thing. Placing an advertisement usually elicits questions for clarity and I hoped you would have expected as much. Freely given advice requires tolerance as well.

Who knows, someone here may fall in love with your trailer. Fishing for buyers requires casting a wide net, especially in this economy. Welcome to FiberglassRV. I hope you get to see more of this site, and don't dwell in just the classifieds.

What's in a name?

I've moved this post over to the Misc. RVs section with a free 5-day forwarder.

Good luck with your sale, Mike. We love all RVs, but understand what a molded fiberglass trailer is and that is why we have another Classified area for Misc RVs that are not.

Regards,

Matt

Craig again. Does this unit have twin beds, or one bed with a bureau built in on the other side? Thanks for your reply.
