hello im looking for a used casita, scamp or burro 13 to 16' nothing to rough (fiberglass torn up) but some work ok. prefer to have a bathroom instead of bunks. looking in california but will travel for the right deal or trailer. if you find anything please shoot it my way. We are not planning to "flip" it so a good deal would greatly be apreciated. budget is up to 4000 maybe a lil more for the right trailer but less is allways better. doesnt need to have ac or anything fancy, we are more into boondocking. message on here or email. thanks again and we hope to be joining the egg camping clan!

I guess that must mean that the Casitas are built with the original-size Boler molds, whereas Scamp raised the height on their molds after their factory fire. (Which means, I think, that you'd want a post-new-mold Scamp, which would be around.... 1996 or so? )

Raya

PS: The Trillium 13s are in the same basic category as those you've mentioned, and they have a touch more headroom as well.

ahh ok nice, yes i just need head room and a permanent potty. we are both tall 6' and 5' 10 but no kids so bunks are out. thanks for the info. we have a 99 toyota tacoma v6 ex cab. and need a good little trailer. we camped at 7k feet in the high sierra desert last year in freezing temps and 50 mph winds. if i want to go back this summer the little lady needs a potty and wind protection

Not quite that far back. The Scamp fire was January 2006. It was months after that before they started production. I THINK the next production year date for the trailers was mid to late June 2006.

Scamp Factory Fire

Oops. Thanks for the correction, Donna.

curtis, I know the 1970's Trilliums were higher inside than the original Boler/clones (Scamp, etc.) The Trillium 1300 can sometimes be found with a "bathroom" (I had one), but they're rare. The Trillium 4500 (15' long) also sometimes has a bathroom.

I don't know the heights of other older ones, such as the Burro/clones, but I bet some of the taller folks will chime in (I looked at a Compact Jr. and I could actually stand up in that - just - without the pop top raised )

Also, I don't know if the "wide body" Burros were any taller than the regular ones
