This sounds more like surban house fever not cabin fever. To have cabin fever you need to spend at least a week snowed in while living in a 1 room cabin. Cabin fever is very close to fiberglassrv fever, except fiberglassrv fever takes a bit longer to set in. I think the probably to worst is 2 man tent fever, that only takes about 2 days of heavy rain while you're 25 miles from the nearest road. Just the sound of your tent mate breathing is enough to make you want to kill.

The one good thing about all these fevers is that as soon as one can spend some time outside it goes away.

A gray, snowy day in Pittsburgh weaves a special magic. We lived there for 3 years and I decided I never again wanted to own a snow shovel, much less a tractor with a snow plow.

ALMOST OUT OF BEER? It's 8:02am for you.

And FYI: If you lived in Vancouver, Canada - and it snowed 1/2 inch, the schools close and the power would be out for hours or even days. Consider yourself lucky!

I have been in the Burro for almost 3 weeks. Outside of work and a trip to the local grocery, I have seen nothing else.

I would try to claw my way out, but the fiberglass is too tough for my bitten nails.

And I just paid someone to remove the snow from my driveway so I can get the trailer back in when I finally get home to my real cabin on sunday.

I'll let you take the big pile of snow for free too!

I am thinking I won't be camping for awhile...

At my home in the Twin Cities, we've got virtually no snow! There is only enough on the ground so that you know that it snowed, but the grass still sticks up through the snow.

Meanwhile, Buffalo NY got hit early, Milwaukee and Chicago recently got pounded, and now Denver gets it.

It's snowing again. The grocery store is out of dairy, produce, meats, eggs and bread. Been baking, have 6 beers left, kid understands that presents are not here yet. I thought when I moved from Minnesota 30 years ago that I wouldn't have this snow problem. Snow plow hasn't been here yet. My wife is getting good at getting cars unstuck with the help of carpets and a coal shovel. But she blew two tires on her VW Beatle today by hitting an ice ridge. Are we having fun yet? Everyone out there have a MERRY CHRISTMAS. Send beer, have plenty of milk left.

John... do you have TOILET PAPER???

I have learned in my times trapped in my cabin due to snow, that... once that runs out, nothing else matters!

The longest I have been trapped was 9 days. Seems wierd to feel trapped when you have tv, phone, internet and all kinds of ways to connect to the outside world.

So close, yet so far away.

Just heard that 1500 poastal employees worked on sunday in colorado to get mail out for the holiday. Shows the sprit of the people in that part of the country.
Remember snow brings water to the west we all depend on and fills the river for great trout fishing. So keep warm !

If you have lots of snow on the ground, running out ot TP is not a problem. take a bucket go get a bunch of snow, return to toilet area, take care of duty. Then make hard snow ball, and rub area gently. Don't worry, overuse of snow ball is not a likelyhood.
Do not turn snow ball over. Make new one. Continue with new snowballs until snow is not discolored, air dry, replace undergarments. Follow normal hygiene routine. Training courtesy of winter camping exercises with Uncle Sams Misguided Children. Prevents chapping if air dried.

Merry Christmas

GUESS WHAT--Another big storm is coming. I was lucky enough to get new snow shovels with the bent handles. I was in the right place right time. They sold out in 5 min. Heading to the store for supplies (bread, eggs, dairy). All the stores were out last week. Gas for the car and some beer for dad. Actually had two cans left from last storm. Picked up two new books to pass the time.

Yesterday we cleaned up from the last storm. Snow plows never did arrive. Many gas stations were out of gas because trucks couldn't resupply. Same for restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc. etc.

SMILE YOU LIVE IN COLORADO. I aint smiling.
