Unhappy Heartbroken - Rare untouched beauty must go to a good home

1973 Play Pac. 1200 lbs, 13', towed like a dream with my 2010 Prius! Diamond in the rough - everything is original. I bought this as major fixer upper, no serious damage just stuff to be expected, a cracked window and a tiny bit of water damage on wood paneling near door where seal is loose, heat damage to vinyl wallpaper, spiderwebs in fiberglass dome skylight that was sealed with silicone, weathering (powdery) exterior fiberglass. Solid body, no cracks/leaks.

All the amenities, tail/running/brake lights worked when I parked it in March. No interior battery, so not sure of interior wiring, etc. Fridge, sink, oven, two closets, water tank, propane heater, original vinyl awning and spare sink/stove top from boat...much more.

Just diagnosed w thyroid cancer, have to take time off work for upcoming surgery and do not have time to mess with eBay. I know everyone here knows and appreciates this rare and very hard to find gem!
obviously must sell ASAP, must pick up.

Located in Pittsburgh (Sewickley) Pennsylvania. Call anytime day or night. 412-334-1315. Make me an offer I can't refuse... I will consider any reasonable offer. Thank you in advance, I hate that I have to sell my baby?!

Hi Angie,

So sorry to hear you have to part with your PlayPac!

I'm glad you posted here to give others on the forum a chance to make you an offer you can't refuse.

Have you also posted on the other fiberglass 4-sale site? Lots of interested folks look there too.

Sending good juju your way for a healthful recovery! -V

Hello and hope you are well today

I am sorry to hear you need to let go of your small trailer. Do you have any pictures of the interior and can you tell me any more about it. For instance, how is the frame, electrical system, propane system, ie regulator, is there a fridge.
Thanks a lot,
Anne MP

Do you know how to post to the thread or do you have a phone number/email I can send to? I really wanted to put them here, but couldn't figure it out.

Size your pictures ahead of time so they're no bigger than 400 kb and less than 1600x1600.
Click on "go advanced" for posting your reply with pics.
Click on the little down-arrow located next to the paperclip (this is at the top toolbar of the message window) and browse on your computer to add the photo filenames.
Click upload.
Close that upload window after it's done uploading.
Then click on the paperclip again, and select "insert all". In they go!

Too bad (or good thing??) I live so far away, I could be tempted.

Post an asking price, you'll likely get more interest and be taken more seriously. At least a ballpark starting price...

I was unable to get a value on this camper because its so rare, I called quite a few places and was advised to post it on EBay. I started the bids at 200$ hoping for 1200 to get out even - please feel free to bid there, I appreciate everyone on this site being so supportive and helpful...thank you! I hope to buy one again someday and I look forward to getting advice from everyone! If you have any questions I am always available!

Well it's up to $1600 with almost 4 days to go. $2500 to $3000 is a real good price for it. Wonder how close it will get to that.
