I have a generic roof vent and fan. The crank spinny handle thingy (Hope thats not too technical for ya) that raises the vent has split to bits. The vent opens itself now, when I am towing!!!

I can't find a brand name on the vent anywhere. It looks just like the generic ones you see at camping world.

Anyone got their old vent and parts?

Camping World and Giant RV looked at me like I was from another planet when I took it in and asked for JUST that part.

Maybe the flying Monkeys behind me scared them?

Found one, and it is metal.

The nice folks at Walts RV surplus in Fontana, Ca. didn't laugh or anything.

They sent me out back to the dead vent pile and thier parts guy removed one, handed it to me, and said "No charge. Come back and see us sometime"

I like that place. It's like a U-Pull it for trailer junk!!!

er.... no.

I think they get surplus from Fleetwood and Suncrest. Fleetwood has a big plant for motorhomes in Riverside, Ca. and Suncrest has a park model mobile home factory in Corona.

I bet there are more manufactureres down here than one could imagine.

Walts has a showroom inside with "new" OEM stuff, and then the back yard is organized chaos of take aparts. You can show them the most obscure little part and their part puller guy will know exactly what it is and where he last saw one.
