Ok, now we get to watch a fella try and capitalize on this trailer. This was the deal of the week here on the 25th of February, and the owner said this guy was waiting with cash in hand to buy this the next day for $1900 or less:
Scamp 5th Original Ad
Now he has it right back up and didn't even clean the rust marks running down the front of the gravel shield which is how it is easily identified.
Scamp 5th Wheel Current Ad New Owner
Anyone willing to give this fella $4200 for ten days ownership and no mods to the trailer...

I think it will be more interesting to watch. The Scamp 5th wheel's have been one of the most difficult trailers to resell since last summer. They have really sat and people have had to cut their prices tremendously to even generate interest.
Personally, I think even though it was a good price, he may have over-gambled on this one. If he took it and modded it out and cleaned it up, he might get a decent profit. Just to buy it, do nothing to it in this market, and then list it at least $1200 to $2000 high I'd be surprised if he is able to generate any interest.

I think I might have to cut hubby's legs down so he can stand up in a Scamp. Greg, like you said there have been some great deals on them. I just need to find that kind of deal on a Bigfoot!
Phil it looks pretty clean but very dated. It has had no up grades or up dating since it was new. That's a premium price for that trailer now.

Flagged again.
I wonder why? I mean, yeah, the flipping was a bit blatant, but I didn't see anything wrong with the ad (except for grammar-police violations )

I'm not flagging it, I want to see if he gets anyone to buy this thang and how much.
This last time he over posted and they may have flagged him on the spam/overpost.
Maybe the original owner found out she lost a few thou cause she didn't know her pricing and is hunting him down.....

Well two days and he's already dropped it to $5500. Must not be getting any interest.

Price dropping fast
Now he's dropping the price hourly.... We're down to $5250
Another $1000 to $1500 drop and he might start getting some calls.

What's with the bumper ball hitch? That could be a very scary thing. What is the hitch weight on a Scamp 5th?

"hitch weight- 400 lbs (weight before options)"
Liz, I got that information from a topic you posted just a couple of days ago: Scamp 5th wheel travel trailer
On edit: it's also the same on the Scamp Trailer website: Scamp 5th Wheel Specs

It's at $4500 now.
I didn't realize you could tow a 5th-wheel trailer with a regular hitch. Is this true?
The ad says "can easly [sic] be towd [sic] with a regular hitch or goose neck" and shows a photo of an SUV with a regular "tag-along" hitch mounted to the trailer. It looks like there is a lot of leverage on the structure that's connected to the TV's hitch.
