1970 Trailswest
Campster, $2400. I'm selling because I bought a slightly larger trailer last
fall; haven't had much chance to show this one due to our lovely weather this winter!
The trailer is located on South Whidbey Island (just north of Seattle, 15 minute ferry ride to Whidbey and 10 minute drive). It is stored in my garage but it is easy to roll it out and show it as long as it isn't extremely windy or wet. (Single car garage and not a lot of room to show it there.)
Ready to go- take it camping tomorrow or take it home and restore it. Tows behind many small cars. Now that the weather MAY actually allow showing it, I wanted to bump this posting up before I get it onto Craigslist.

It was remodeled for a
microwave (not included) and icebox side drawers removed. Will fit small
microwave and has an outlet to plug it in. No
microwave included.
Original Coleman
light (propane) is present but does not work properly. Could be replaced;
propane supply is in good shape.
12V system (lights in cabin and galley) has been used in the past but not since I bought it, no
battery.
Wired for 4 way plug only right now.
original floor under new Marmoleum (which is just floating)- some squishiness near door.
Campster has a solid glass bottom so this is really cosmetic
Other info: there were only a handful of these Campsters made between 1969 and 1975. They are similar to the Compact Jr and Compact II trailers (see Facebook group) and lots of info can be found at FiberglassRV.com including info on how nearly any system in the trailer can be repaired, restored, or replaced. Trailer weighs about 900 lbs plus your gear, tongue
weight about 100 lbs. I towed it with a Subaru Forester. Set up is extremely easy- back in, unhitch using tongue jack, level, put the stabilizers down, pop the top up, done. Ready to use now (I camped in it this summer) or take it home and restore or update it.
