SOLD: 1978 13' Scamp - Frame-up Restoration - all new factory components - $8,000

1978, complete frame-up restoration. Completely new insides purchased from the factory have all receipts and original literature. Frame was sandblasted and repainted with two part automotive primer and paint. Shell was painted the same way. Axel was replaced with 4" drop axel and leaf springs. I first put in a straight axel but it sat up too high. Before installing the interior, insulation was added.
  • New components throughout
  • 4" Drop-Axel with leaf springs
  • Goal Zero 400 inverter battery
  • Boulder Solar Panel
  • Fantastic Fan
  • All new fabric curtains and cushions
  • All new windows
Also a marine grade treated plywood floor. The refrigerator, stove and all components inside are new. The furnace is new but not yet installed. It includes a Goal Zero 400 inverter and Boulder solar panel. All tires are new, hubs and wheels are new 5 lug type. Photos were taken before 1976 Pinto hubcaps and new 5-wheel spare were added. The last photo was with a straight axel, prior to the 4" drop axel.

Since this work was done, It has been on one trip. I am moving to Bali and can't take it with me. The scamp is now in Atlantic Beach, FL

Would like to talk

Hello Michael,

I am very interested in your trailer. Is there a chance I could talk to you? I don't know how to send a PM but would like to. If you haven't sold it yet would you tell me how to send a PM with my phone number.

Click on the seller's user name to the left of the post and a drop down menu gives you the option of sending a personal message. If you are using the FGRV app, tap the seller's avatar at the top of the post. It takes you to the user profile, where an envelope icon at the top right lets you sent a message.

Absolutely. I pull it with a 4 cylinder Colorado 2wd. The transmission I have is a 4speed automatic. I have larger than stock tires so I use 3rd gear. It still goes into lockup and at 65mph the RPMs are 2800. no gear hunting.
