1978 Burro Camper.
This is a very clean camper. I have done many upgrades to the
Burro and planned on keeping it for a long time, but circumstances have changed, and we have a motor home we always use. I have never camped in the
Burro, but my brother took on a trip up the Echo Trail with us and stayed in it & he said it was awesome. However, he's 6'5" & had to sleep diagonally. lol
This Burro features:
New custom tongue & groove ceiling
New wood laminate flooring
New composite trim around the flooring (so as not to warp)
New custom made room darkening curtains
New curtain rods
New counter top
New stainless sink and drain (not hooked up)
New cabinet doors
New 3/4 thick solid wood cubby covers
New dimmable under cabinet puck
lighting
New custom made 12V exterior
light
New 110V
fridge with dry erase front (it's funny what guests write on there!)
Cable TV plug in
New GFI outlet on the counter top
New outlets and wiring throughout
30 amp AC box with long cord
Tinted sliding
windows (NO leaks)
All cushions are in fantastic condition and have been professionally cleaned.
There are no
leaks in the camper, and NO odor at all (unless you consider the smell of fresh tongue & groove lumber an odor).
I have scrubbed the exterior with Borax and removed all oxidation. I wet sanded and buffed a small test area and it shines bright, so I know the gelcoat is in good condition.
The
tires are fine, and the camper includes a spare.
Includes 2 leveling jacks for the rear.
Includes a
battery.
All the exterior
lights work.
When I bought it, it had a
furnace in it where the
fridge is now, and a spare
furnace. I still have them, but they are
for sale on CL. If they don't sell I will include them with the Burro.
It tows like a dream, even behind my Jeep Wrangler 4.0, I thought that would be a bouncy nightmare, but it was just fine.
I was going to reupholster the cushions in crimson to match the curtains, but haven't gotten that far yet. It also has crummy gate hinges on the door that should be replaced because they're ugly as sin and it could use a new door seal.
I know there are more details I'm forgetting, and it truly is a nice camper.
I'm not desperate to sell it, but we don't use it like I thought we would (because of the motorhome) and I just can't see a reason to hang on to it.
