SOLD: 1978 Trillium 4500 Deluxe with "Original Add-a-Room"$8400

This day I thought would never come!!!!!! The thought of selling my ultra rare
1978 Trillium 4500 Deluxe with "Original Add-a-Room"

15 feet long ( the most sought after model)

Sleeps 4 adults

I believe this may be only 1 of 3 in existense, and I know for certain this is the only one that the "Add-a-Room" is almost NEW!!!!!

This is the "Trillium King" here in Michigan

I am giving you guys 1st crack at this rare beauty, before posting on Craigslist & Ebay. You guys have been like a second family to me and mine!!!!!

I wanted to get a feel 1st if anyone is interested.

Things I replaced: New Dometic 3.0 cubic 2-way frig.
New Bamboo floors
New replaced all cushions and love-seat
with "High-Density" foam and Professionally
done new material.
New "Bargman L-400" entry door lock with 2 keys
New "Kason" hinges on entry door
New Professionally lined curtains through-out!
New "Fantastic-Fan" in roof (control thermostatically)
New tires
New fresh-packed bearings
New faucets for 2 sinks(kitchen and bathroom)
New 8" tires along with 2 1/2" aluminum adapters that you
can actually lower this beauty into any standard 7 foot garage door!

My model has the following: 2 rooms/ separated by the "Original bi-fold wood door"
When closed you have a "fully-self contained"
Bathroom with actual "Original toilet"and sink
When the bi-fold door is shut, there is a front
"Pocketed love-seat" that also can convert to a
small card table.
I have city water hook-up (Both sinks have separate city water faucets to use on demand...nice!!)
I have a 12 gallon fresh water tank aboard too!
The kitchen faucet has an electric pump for quick flow of water. When you don't have electric, you can get water via the hand pump.
The kitchen has a 3 burner stove top
Dometic 3.0 large frig and freezer
Nice sink with a window over it
Window on entry door. Base models did not
have one!
Rear dinette that converts to a rv queen size bed
Pocketed full size bed lowers over the queen size
bed
Custom adjustable pine shelving in closet
Furnace
The famous "Original Add-a-Room" that has a
actual roof that comes to a peak like a real house!
When it rains it runs off each angle very nicely.
The sides are 1 piece of a heavy duty factory
water treated mil-spec canvas. It is so cozy in
there that you can use 3 seasons or more if in
the mid-west or in northern regions.
The body itself is in excellent condition
100% fiberglass "Cream-Gelcoat"
Wheel covers(hub caps) are from a 1977 mustang

This is the last one of its kind as a "WHOLE" !!!!! Let me know who would
like to take ownership of this slice of "Candian-History"

Price only: $8,400 or best fair offer

This is truely the "Rolls-Royce" of all fiberglass trailers!!!!!!!!!!

No, I am not in the market. My wife says that four trailers is enough. I still look though. It is likely though that anyone who is in the market would like to see pictures.

Hi Dave,

I live near Ann arbor, Mi and am looking for a trailer. Do you have any photos you can send? I will be at Camp Dearborn In Sept but I am sure that your trailer will be sold by then. I am a first timer so a light and compact trailer would suit my purposes. email pperone@umich.edu

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

Selling? Nope! I post lots in the Referrals section. That is because I am always shopping for a trailer that my wife won't let me buy.

I am the proud owner of Dave's 4500 baby and will take very good care of her! We consider Dave family since he is part of history. Also, we live within 30 min. Of each other so visiting rights/ will be easy.

Roy,
It's very fitting that you e-mailed me 1st. I did make friends here....you are right! But one thing is certain you and Carol Ann are my best friends by far that I made here, and will be keeping in touch with you.

Don,
Word must have got out, that our next step-up is a 17 or 18 footer.
We started camping with our son when he was 3 years old via "Tent-Camping" Did that for 4 years and then we found the "Crown-Jewel" that changed our camping experience for ever. Our former baby....Trillium!!!!!!
For the last 10 years it"s been a dream. I like yours! But not looking for a Boler per say. But thanks. I think you have it priced right!!!!

Congrats on selling your prized trailer, Dave.

Good thing we called 40 minutes before we were scheduled to see it, since you were apparently in the middle of completing your sales transaction.

Our loss.
