Vintage 1983
Scamp travel trailer. This trailer was updated in 2007 with a new
axle with trailer
brakes, new wheels, new table, new stainless steel sink, new water pump. We put new
tires on it last week. We replaced the cabinet doors with Baltic Birch wood doors, removed the
furnace unit and installed a cabinet there for pots and pans. We replaced the heater with a Wave Catalytic
propane heater. (doesn't use
battery power to run). Last year we replaced the upholstery with new
Scamp Factory upholstery and made new curtains. The trailer has a 3 way Dometic
refrigerator, 2 burner
propane stove, 12 gallon fresh water tank, hook ups for city water and 110 power for RV parks,
battery and
propane for
dry camping (which is what we liked to do). The couch area makes into two bunk beds. The dinette makes a bed for one or two. The unit weighs around 1,000 lbs. We towed it easily with our 4 cylinder Toyota Tacoma pickup. The trailer has a new 7 way plug and uses a 1 7/8" ball for the hitch. The
battery is kept in good condition with a Battery Minder battery conditioner. In very nice condition for a vintage trailer.
