SOLD: 1990 Bigfoot 17ft in Beautiful Condition and Ready to Go!!! Now $9250 obo

Reduced to $9250 on 8/9/2013

We are selling our 1990 Bigfoot 17 foot trailer in immaculate condition... everything is in perfect working condition.

We purchased it in May of this year. The former owner had just had it polished and new custom decals applied.

It has a propane heater, 3 way refrigerator, bunk bed, L shape lounge that converts to bed, bathroom with toilet and shower, hot water heater, 4 burner stove, and original awning that is like new. He also had the cushions professionally reupholstered with classic green plaid fabric.

We purchased the Bigfoot this spring for $8750 and since then have made our own improvements ($2000 worth) so that it would be ready to enjoy for years to come including:

-We had our local RV store go completely through and change out the hoses and check to make sure everything is in perfect working order. They suggested the old ac was only working at 80% efficiency so,
-We had CampingWorld install a brand new Dometic Penguin II Low Profile 13500 BTU AC
-At that time we also had the roof sealed even though there were no leaks, just something we knew should be done periodically
-And, we had the axel "flipped" to raise the Bigfoot by about 6 inches as this model, as others have attested, sat very low to the ground

We can't think of another thing that anyone would want to do ... it is perfect and ready to go traveling in comfort and style!!!

We are in Springfield MO and would be willing to meet you within a reasonable distance. If you have questions or need additional pictures other than those in our album (see link below), give us a call at 4174962762.

Need the help of early model Bigfoot owners:-) We've had several people ask about the dry weight of our Bigfoot. Could someone please interpret this info (attached to the inside closet door) regarding the weight. Not sure if its in kgs or lbs or if it's lbs/kgs. Thanks!

Looks to me like the empty weight is 850 kg or about 1870 lbs and the maximum weight is 1306 kg or 2884 lbs

Tongue weight should be about 10% or 200-250 lbs or 91 to 113 kg.

1 kg = 2.2 lbs

Just right for pulling with my 2003 Blazer

Yes, you are right. We thought it would go quick too, surprised we're not getting more interest on the forum. We also have it on Craigslist and are getting more interest there. We're hoping to upgrade to a 25ft Bigfoot but aren't in such a hurry that we want to give our current Bigfoot away. Just taking our time in hopes the right buyer, who can appreciate this little jewel, comes along! ;-) Thank you for your comment!

I was somewhat interested in the unit earlier this year, curious if you or the previous owner ever finished the wall area around the sink... ?

Ha, funny you should ask. It's a work in progress. We stripped the rest of the wallpaper off of that wall and painted the paneling the same color as the background of the wallpaper. My daughter is currently painting a mural. I'll take a pic (even though it's not finished) and add it to the pics. The writing that you won't see until it's complete is "Wherever we roam, we're always at home."

oh cool!

yea we decided it was too far of a trip, given the off chance we wouldn't want it? that seems to be a recurring theme for us and fiberglass trailers in general... there are basically NONE close to us.

I just uploaded a picture of the unfinished mural. Still need to add sky, water and a few more details as well as the wording. Will look VERY cool when she finishes! Wish we had talked sooner; we just came back from Wilmington NC last week of July!

That looks really great, good job daughter!

Oh man what a bummer, Wilmington is only hour and a half from here... wish we had known. Did you guys have Bigfoot with you?

Yes, we sure did. Spent a few days at Kure Beach at Ft Fisher RV Park ... decided it was way too humid and headed for the Smokies! We had a wonderful time! North Carolina is so beautiful ... absolutely loved Asheville! Stayed in a really nice Park, Bear Creek RV Park. So nice and the owners are such lovely people. Yep, would've been a great time to see "MoMo" (short for Missouri Monster ;-) well, we wanted her name to reflect her Bigfoot influence, LOL!

Your Bigfoot is beautiful. I am going to share the information and pics with my husband as soon as I see him tomorrow. I'm hoping we can give you a call and come to see! It's just the size we've been looking for. Our Ford Ranger pickup should be able to pull, don't you think?
