Roughly 4500 lbs loaded. I towed this trailer home to London from BC with a GM Mini Van 3.8L over the Rockies. No problem. Lately towing with a Toyota Tundra 4.6L and hardly know it's back there. An Equalizer hitch with sway and weight distribution is your friend.

If this trailer was closer to me, I would sell mine and upgrade. With the current exchange rate the asking price is a little over $10,500 in US dollars. A very good deal if the trailer is as nice as the photos indicate. Best of luck with your sale.

I saw on CL tonight that Bigfoot is building new trailers and campers the new trailers measure 17.5', 21', 25' and the campers are in the $55000.00 range the 17.5' trailer is around $50,000.00 and the 25' closer to $60,000.00. I would have to think this trailer is a excellent buy.

have to agree about price....
obviously if somebody was seriously considering buying a new one...this would be considered a "steal".....
as an example three is a 2000 17CB for sale near me asking 13,000....that's the previous 1500 series...looks "showroom" inside, clean outside with a new awning
it's still for sale after a month....but still... it's priced right if other transactions in this neighbourhood are taken into account

I say go for it Jack. With the mods you have done you could probably get close to that for your trailer and upgrade to the 2500.

You need to make sure you can import it to the States. I believe some model years of Bigfoot's are tricky as they do not have the required DOT sticker (if made for the Canadian market) and the new Bigfoot company will not provide a letter saying it meets standards as it was made by the previous company. Maybe the owner can clarify?
Looks like a great trailer though and good price, if it was in BC it would be snapped up.

I have seen this trailer in person in Tennessee and Don keeps it immaculate. I tried unsuccessfully to purchase it before I bought my Escape. It is really nice.

: to import Motor Homes, Cars/trucks from the usa to Canada.
One of the reasons u see so few Bigfoots in the USA, somewhere around 2005 forward Bigfoot put a ton of trailers and campers on Consignment with US dealers, when 2008 Happened the dealers reneged on their payments and started shipping them all back into Canada so your looking at none down there since just after 2005, that's 10 years of none there. When all this FG equipment started showing up in Canada, the Company sold most of them up here at Cost or less so they could pay their suppliers, this caused them to close their doors.
somewhere around 2013 or thereabouts Bigfoot started making Campers again, and as I sent you what I could is that Bigfoot is now back making trailers, it was a surprise to me to. What I know of them is the workers are the ones responsible in getting the company back into the Fibre Glass Market.

Thanks Jim....Nice hearing from you. The photo of my trailer is from the Rally in Tennessee we were at. Really enjoyed it and meeting you along with Alf and all the others. We've been back to that RV Park twice since....just not for another Rally. Really enjoy Tennessee.
Sure hope you're enjoying your Escape. I'm finally going over to the shiny silver side.

At the moment there is no US DOT sticker on this trailer. I have a very reliable RV Dealer here in Ontario working on getting this unit available for importation to the US should the need arise.
