This is not the ad. Follow the link to the ad and you’ll find the price.

This is a “discussion thread” containing a preview of the ad and a link to the actual ad. They’re generated automatically when someone posts on the ad site. Photos are low res thumbnails with limited archival value. I’m not seeing the point of these previews. It’s just confusing a lot of people.

I also assumed it is a temporary thing, like the banner on top about the new classifieds section. It’s just confusing a lot of people.
I had assumed that the post being auto-generated was as a means of transition from the old way to the new classifieds section, so that people would see the "discussion" post in the list of new posts (since the ads don't show up in that list). Should not be confusing since it says:

View this ad at Fiberglass Classifieds - 2008 Scamp Deluxe

But perhaps its not temporary. The ad also has a link back to this discussion. and the comments show under the ad. I see no reason for a public discussion about someone's private sale however. If I were selling a car here at home I would not expect 1,000 people from all over the world to show up just to talk about it.

As for price, is it a requirement that someone list a price in the ad? If there is no price listed, interested people should contact the seller by private means to discuss the price. (Does not apply to this case however)

I do see the point, because I won't think to look at the ad section if I don't see it here first.

If I were actively looking for a trailer, I’d go straight to the ads. And if not, well...

Shouldn't be too difficult to include the price in the posts here and avoid people having to ask.

Agree, it’s confusing, time consuming and frustrating.....I just want to see the ad, the price and location in one glance. Having to search from page to page for information is daunting!!!
Price and location will tell me if I even want to look at the complete ad. And as far as these discussions, they show up on both pages, I’m not sure what gordon2 post meant by not wanting everyone to see the conversations ?
When I look at these discussions I can go to the classified page and see the exact same discussions! I thought you were suppose to send a private message when dealing with a sale ? Not sure how to do that now either ??
Thanks for clarifying, if anyone can.
