Scamp for sale

Very interested in purchasing your camper. I would be towing it with my Pontiac Torrent V6. I now have a class II hitch on which I can put a 2" ball. Do I need something on the hitch to accommodate the sway bar? I currently tow a Coleman pop Up and have not had experience with your type of trailer. I will let you know early next week, or before, if we intend to buy when the hitch question is answered, at which time we can arrange pickup and finances.

Check out the Reese site and look at the 350 mini WHD. You have the hitch so the WHD fits right into it. With the WHD you cannot make the trailer sway as I have tried it. The only thing you would need is a brake control and wired for a 7 pin receiver. A V6 will handle the trailer very well. Some people are towing Scamps with a 4 cylinder which I would be leary about. I tow in cruise control and just drop it down one gear and have had no problems at all and only take it out of cruise control on very steep hills. Also going down steep hills I use a lower gear to save on the brakes.

Class-II Hitches are usually 1 1/4" receivers, WD Hitches need 2" receivers

We are almost there. I will need to get a 2" receiver installed on my van. I live in western Pa., and will be able to get there to pick it up in mid August, not sure of exact date yet. What method of payment are you comfortable with? I have a seven (7) pin electrical connection, will that activate the breaks, or do I need a controller wired into the van? May I have an address & phone number to contact you and google your exact location?

Just out of curiosity - how wide is your bed? I haven't seen the stove shelf giving the bed more room like that before. It looks like a really nice layout.
Thanks,
Kim

The bed is 52 by 75 but we slept one in the back and one on the side dinette which also makes into a bed. Used a new Coleman product which is called Aversa Wrap and they are neat. No zippers and the top is wider to go over. Pin a sheet inside and you are good to go.

Greetings--We're pretty new to the fiberglass rv website and aren't sure how to access your message about payment--we seem to have only one private message and that's the "welcome to the website" one. We would really appreciate it if you could copy/resend the message to our verizon email--thanks much!
