Escape order...wow congrats. Are you that Reston, VA delivery on their front page or will you sight see across the US and pick it up? Either way would be very fun.

I am the Reston delivery! So excited!!

I would love to pick it up but I just don't have the time to take off from work. What a terrific trip that would be!

Now if I can just get the Snoozy sold ...

Nice, yeah it will sell no problem, when you buy into fiberglass the re-sale is an added benefit of ownership. Well, late July is coming up here pretty soon for you then, it would be hard to wait but delivery of something brand new would be a fun experience too. cheers to July

I believe the Snoozy is all electric so you can use a portable electric heater that most of us use while winter camping, but you will need to have electric hookup for it to work. There is an on board charger that will keep you battery charged for your lights and fan.

As Jim said ...

I use a small Holmes heater. Kept us very toasty.

The battery is easily recharged via shore power. I hadn't put a charge on it in several months and it took only a couple of hours to fully charge.

You can also get generator. I don't have one so I can't speak to its efficiency or power.

What did you tow the Snoozie with and how did it behave ?
We have a 2012 Rav4 V6 with tow package and it does great w/ our Hunter (1450 lbs loaded) but not sure if it would handle a Snoozie.
Thanx

I'm a bit spoiled as I tow with a Ford F150 4X4 ith a V8 . I barely knew the Snoozy was there.

There a a lot of people here that tow with a RAV4. You may want to start a thread and ask the experts.

I think McDenny pulls with a RAV4, not for sure.

I pull with a Tacoma V-6........pulls great.

Re the 110v only fridge - I'm really surprised that they put in a fridge that is 110v only. So you cannot dry camp without a generator and then you'd have to run the gen alot. And if you're traveling for several days or longer, the fridge will not be available? Or is it wired with an inverter?
There are numerous good fridges on the market that are both 12v and 110v but they would raise the base price around $500.
Of course, Lil Snoozy would no doubt put in a dual 12v/110v if you requested it when ordering a new one. And you could swap out the current 110v only for a dual.
I really like the Lil Snoozy...just surprised the manufacturer made this choice.

They have reasoning behind their madness like most do.

One of the draws for some is that no matter what goes bad,
you just go to Lowes or HD (etc.), pick up a new unit and replace it.

Like you say, you can change it out for whatever you want, or have it pre-installed.
But the "common" products is one of the things that sets them apart.

From Denny's blog:

We wanted a trailer that was small enough to be towed by our 2007 Toyota RAV4 (less than 3500 lbs loaded) yet had two comfortable beds and a minimal bathroom and kitchen. We looked at a few Scamps and Casitas in campgrounds but were attracted to the Lil' Snoozy we found on the internet in spite of the dumb name. Manufacturer’s website here www.lilsnoozy.com

It was the right size and the fiberglass foam sandwich construction meant it would be easier to change the layout to suit our exact needs. The entire shell is structural so cabinets, beds, etc can be screwed to the walls and floor anywhere.

The streamlined shape looked cool and implied better gas mileage towing (in practice our mileage is no better than others report with similar sized rigs - only about 15 mpg driving 60 to 65 mph).

As far as towing power, the 3.5L does fine. I have the same engine in my Highlander and I use it to tow constantly.

The tongue weight has to be watched with the Rav so you don't load it over 350 lbs, otherwise it should do great.
