SOLD 94 Scamp converted 5th wheel, asking$8500.

I have own this camper for about 6 years. I did the conversion on it my self. It has new paint on the camper and cool seal on the roof. Many up grades, All pop rivets have be replaced with stainless 1/4" screws and nuts, new 20G fresh water tank. All windows have been removed and resealed. The power cord has been converted to a boat type to stop water leaks as well as the fresh water filler and water hose in let. All holes were glass over and entire camper painted. 110 ac out let add to the out side. New tires and wheels repacked last year. Added 110 florescent lights to the in side on one switch as you come in the door all so add more 110 plugs to the in side. Stove, refrigerator, AC all worked the last time I had it out. New flooring, Bath redone, new cabinet drawers add. I made the tongue long enough to leave my truck tailgate down when pulling it, and not hit the trailer. I did all of that because I use the bed of the truck to haul motorcycles. And need more store room for riding gear. And it works really well!
I just don't get to use it enough. Like to get it out my way.

Boy, that is a really nice modification. Nice work and a storage room you could almost convert to a dog kennel or rent.

Nice work. What is the overall length from tongue coupler to rear bumper, and what is the tongue wt.? Where in Tx are you located?

WOW!

I second the request for total and especially tongue weight(s)- with so little of the finished trailer behind the (original?) axle, the hitch looks to be carrying a lot of load.

I've seen a few discussions about modifying a Scamp fiver to a bumper pull, but this is the first in my memory that involves completely redoing/adding to the over-the-bed part.

This old thread goes in to some detail re. the simpler conversion, and it talks about a 700 pound tongue weight...how much more must this (really nice) remodeling have added?

The trails are call 19' I added 42" of tongue past the front of the camper. Witch make it about 22 1/2'. The tongue can be shorten. As for as hitch weight I looked on Scamp site and they didn't even give it on there. The stock camper is list as 1800 LBS empty. This one is about 2200Lbs, but this is the deal you now have a storage the size of the front bed. So tongue weight well depend a lot on how much you store up front. I pull it with a 1/2 ton truck with no problem. I did add a 20G water tank to the very back of the camper and if you fill it, that alone will give you 160Lbs of counter weight. If you have small car this may not be your camper. Just figer if you have 3000Lbs are more towing capacity, you should be fine.
The camper can be seen in Port Lavaca Tx.
