SOLD Hunter Compact II for sale $2500.00

Hello, the wife and I have really enjoyed this little camper for the last year or so, we have taken it all over and it's been perfect for what we needed at the time, but we are now back on an Airstream kick and it hasn't been used in a couple of months so we feel it may be time to let someone else enjoy it, it has a clear Kentucky title in my name and is 100 percent ready to go.

New Tires and wheels
Air Conditioned
Microwave
New Deep Cell Battery and charger
LED lighting
USB outlets to charge phones/tablets etc
Furrion 30 amp connection

You can see the original thread here
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...per-66621.html

And the upgrade thread here
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...-ii-67615.html

This Camper is dry and clean, top pops up and has plenty of space for standing and cooking etc, this model has a water closet that has a functioning toilet, the dining area makes a huge comfortable bed, Fridge works on propane and electric, three burner stove and full tank of propane I have pulled this camper thousands of miles with a normal Jeep Cherokee, it is very light

$3000.00 OBO

A/C?

Looks like you put a lot of work into this camper! Did you find a place to reinstall the A/C? Also, you have it listed for 2,500 and then also $3K - which is correct?

That is a very good nice looking Compact ll for $3,000!

One not in near as good shape sold for $2,500 in OK a few months ago.

Too bad I bought a Scamp to restore, or I'd be on the way to Kentucky!

I am interested in your little camper but I am concerned about the interior height. I am 6'3" and wonder how this unit will accommodate a taller person?

Great looking trailer .... As the earlier poster mentioned great price and if i had mot recent purchased a scamp i also would be taking a road trip
Fyi since im 5'14" this would be ideal as i checked one out recently at a rally
Good luck with your sale

Alan: does 5'14" mean you're 6'2"?

The Capt. hasn't had a chance to answer the question about interior height, so I will answer re: my Hunter Compact-II.

Interior height, with the top down, is 66" in the kitchen area, and about 3" less in the dinette/bed area. With the top up it is close to 80" in the kitchen area.

Bob: Thanks for the info. I know this is a ridiculous question, but since we've been shopping for a little while, and since the Cap'n hasn't responded to my inquiry, and since I've found his Craigslist ad and now understand that he's about 12 miles from me which makes me crazy excited; do you know if it's still available? I realize that this is silly to ask of you, but bein's how you have a similar model, I thought maybe y'all were buds and chat and stuff.

Sorry, I only know the Capt. from this site.
But, if I were you I would drive to his area and be on the cell phone until he answers. This shouldn't last past the first person to see it.
God Luck

I'd send him a private message via this forum asking for his phone number.

When I got him on the phone, I'd offer him $100 just to hold the trailer until I could drive the short distant to his home. Not tomorrow, not next week...but today!

You will never find a FG trailer in that condition, that close to your home, for that price unless you are very lucky!

Snooze and you lose!

Why are all the good buys so far away?

Why can I Not see one of these Hunters for sale in the Washington area or British Columbia or closer to home for that matter. I here they are not a heavy weight trailer and will work under our puny Ford Escapes so might be worth looking into.
I Like the look of them with the Pop up roof so one has a place to stick there head after drinking my coconut juice.
Looks like what we can use is the Hunter models or the Cadet Model. but both are real hard to find.

Hunters were manufactured in SoCal from about 1970 to 1974 and are hard to find anywhere and usually sell quickly. There was a knock-off version built in Canada in 1974, but I have only ever seen one for sale.

No, the Trails West is the "Campster" and a number of those have been seen as well.
