I agree the landscaping trailer makes the POD look like an after thought. Flatbed would improve the looks 100%. I can see a real plus for the look, sort of a teardrop only backward....more headroom, toyhauler or even the ability for someone needing a wheelchair. Plus, check out that deck for the barbeque and lawn chairs!

I personally talked with the guy because I liked the idea. He went with the flatbed because that is what HE had and used. He will put the POD on anything you want. You let him know what you want it on and he will put it on that.
If you don't like the railings, he won't use them. If you want a longer trailer, just let him know. Whatever you want, he will do it for you.
He basically, designed it to haul motorcycles. He had the trailer, then designed the pod to go on the trailer to protect the motorcycle. Then, he decided, heck, I could make this into a camping unit while I am at motorcycle races.
I like the idea that you can use your own camping equipment and design it to fit your needs with what you have at home. The back ramp would be good for those people that are handicapped and use wheelchairs. He will also build a
fiberglass "back door" if you want that.
Basically, you design it and he will build it.
