Trailer: Former 1978 Trillium 4500 owner (now 2010 R-pod)
1978 Trillium 4500 deluxe for sale - this was one of the nicest, most original 4500's around until we were sideswiped by a truck this past summer. If you're handy with fibreglass here's a great project for you. Or the trailer will yield many useful parts to keep other Trilliums on the road for decades to come.
Our Trillium features a bunk bed front, original upholstery, new vinyl flooring, new curtains, 3 way fridge (larger capacity than most 4500's I've seen), 3 burner stove, furnace, water tank with pressurized water. Please note we haven't tried any of the appliances since the accident but they were working prior. The deluxe model gives aluminium overhead cabinets at both ends and a window in the door and extra cabinets and drawers inside.
All three tires are recent and matching. The frame didn't suffer any damage - we towed it back 1500 km without incident. One wheel, which is now the spare, suffered a damaged bead in the accident.

$2300 Canadian dollars or best offer (905)331-2998.

Update: All interior photos were taken today, Sept 14. As you can see other than the seat base being cracked on the drivers side of the dinette there is very little visible on the inside.

For all those who expressed their concern when we first posted the damage to our trailer back in July, we wanted to let you know of our plans. We have decided a restoration project of this magnitude was just too big for us without a garage...so we've decided on a new, unfortunately not fibreglass (gasp!) trailer. We'll still be camping in a lightweight trailer, but now in an R-pod.

Hi Phil,

Glad to hear you are getting a new camper

Could you show some more photos of the damage to the 4500? Perhaps from the inside (in the bench area where it's crunched on the outside), and from underneath in that same corner?

Raya

Is that in Canadian dollars?
The 10% exchange rate might make a difference to someone.

Thanks for pointing that out Roy - a correction has been made. Roy, are you sure you don't want to try your fibreglassing skills?

I'd be tempted Phil, but only have room for one trailer at a time.

Rumour has it that our own master glasser (Raya) might be interested in it. I'm trying to entice her to come out this way for your trailer and the Lake Erie meet at the same time. Want me to handle the negotations for you two? The first question being, will you accept payment in American dollars?

It was and still could be a beauty trailer - I think this is exactly what Raya has been looking for. She's clearly a Trillium fan girl

a deposit has been taken - I'll consider it sold when the balance is paid and trailer leaves the driveway . We're gonna miss our little Trillium

Hi Phill,
let me know if the deal doesn't go through. I would like to come by and see it.

Our Trillium has now been paid for and picked up by its new owner. It's the first time in 5 years we've been trailerless. But...we hope to take delivery of our new R-pod in a couple of weeks and get a couple of weekends use in before winter. Here is a pic of me standing beside a similar trailer.
